WHELP.
Reservations made, tickets ordered, vacation days assigned--
Looks like I'm gonna go to Bronycon in August. I figured, hey, it's the last one, right? Might as well see it, considering how much time and brainpower I've devoted to horsewords, right?
Next step would be to theoretically get my act together and create an edition of The Flash Sentry Papers for the Bronycon Bookstore project, and ... yeah. I've not really messed around with e-publishing/self publishing before (particularly for formatting) so ... uh, I 've got a couple of months to learn, right? Don't suppose anybody has a handy "How to" guide handy?
Likewise, the artist who I was hoping I could commission to do a cover has had RL stuff pop up, soooo ... don't s'pose anybody has any pony-art-people they might care to recommend?
And hey, any of you other weirdos going?
How I envy you. I've never been to a con despite how much I love the series (not enough money, physically disabled, keeping my now almost 89 year old mother company so she's safe).
I almost attended a con once--it was "Sweet Apple Acres" con in Nashville, but the venue canceled right out from under them at the last minute.
I'm not really a social butterfly and I'd probably feel like a weirdo, but it would have been nice to do it at least once.
I'm going, and hopefully will have a volume to offer in the bookstore as well. See you there!
There's this in the group that was made, the comments section of the first blog post Aquaman made had some good info if I remember right, the others probably do too. As for artists I could make another comment later if you want, I keep a list of people I'd commission if I wasn't poor but I don't get the opportunity to go through it often. If the stars align and someone hires me I'm gonna try but as of now it ain't looking so good.
Awesome. Hopefully I'll go and see you there.
