Knightmare Knight 5th issue, final.

And... Things go exactly as we knew they would. Capper switches the orb for a fake at just the right moment, and Day Breaker reveals she no longer works for Eris at just the right time. Eris begs for mercy, first saying she was just doing her purpose as a goddess of chaos. When Luna doesn't buy that excuse, she claims she was driven mad by the Pony of Shadow's 'I must scream' prison he'd stuck her in.

Luna says sternly, "I don't want to hurt you Eris."

Then Daybreaker says, "I do," and incinerates Eris.

The shocked look on Capper's face says this wasn't part of his script. (Tempest and Trixie are likewise speechless with shock.)

Luna asked if Day Breaker is okay. Day Breaker says she should have listened to Nightmare Moon and overthrown the Pony of Shadows together when she first asked. Luna says now they can have a happy ending, meet her Celly, find Day Breaker's original world... NOPE! Day Breaker is the NEW dictator of this merged reality. She's grateful, so they get to leave unharmed... return and they're ashes. Luna asks if it was all a lie. NOPE! Day Breaker loved her sister. IE, she loved Nightmare Moon, not Luna! To Day Breaker, Luna is a pale imitation of Day Breaker's sister, a ruthless and witty conquerer! Day Breaker needed help cause she was weak, she is weak no more.

Luna and co leave, with Day Breaker's sun in the sky. They dismantle the second world mirror. And keep this entire adventure secret.

Luna writers a letter she'll never send. Saying she gets Celly's pain now about facing her own sister turned to evil. And all you can do is support others, you can't MAKE them be good. Make friends with those you can. Luna reminds Celly Lulu loves her, and Celly lover her back.

Story end.

I imagine Princess Amicitia (Twilight Sparkle) of Pony POV visited Day Breaker's new domain, intending to help her be redeemed, and make a happy ending for her... and Day Breaker blasted her in the chest at point blank range, forcing her out of Day Breaker's world, and leaving Amicitia with a sun shaped scar underneath her peytral.
