A Return To The Soil, or, Blood Will Tell · 4:18pm Mar 11th, 2019

So today, I've got a one-shot for you all set in the same AU as Twilight In Plain Sight. Applejack, having volunteered for the Army on her graduation, has spent the last three years and change working for a living on the less kinetic end of the Big Stick. Except her big mouth and her stubborn insistence on honesty and straight dealing didn't really make for a smooth ride, and it's about to get bumpier.

This story had a great deal of pre-reading and editing help from Shrink Laureate, Oliver, and totallynotabrony. Shrink Laureate in particular put up with a lot of back and forth on this, as it's been sitting in various stages of assembly for over a year now. I'm still trying to track down the artist responsible for the cover art, who I know as Yana Bau, but whom I haven't been able to get a hold of since they delivered the finished product back in February of last year. Yana, if you're out there, please let me know where I should be pointing refers for the art, thanks.

So, there it is - Applejack separated from her native soil, and afloat on the diesel-fume winds of the modern Army.
