The EU is currently trying to move the vote on the new Copyright Directive ahead of time, to push it through BEFORE the formal protests of the European citizens! It has been public knowledge that people all over Europe would gather to protest Article 13, on March 23rd. Suddenly the EU parliament wanna vote on the unwanted Directive much earlier than planned, before the public's grievance can be fully voiced on full display.
They might not manage, as they need to get the paperwork done fast, and we all know how fast bureaucracy works. Still, it’s a pretty low move on their end! Once again proving how little they care about the actual majority they are supposed to be representing! Calling the protestors a mob, the signatures on the petition bots and claiming we are all paid off by Google, instead of just LISTENING. Listening to the people, listening to the programmers, the private people and the businesses online, the experts analyzing the articles of the Copyright Directive, listening to ANYONE who has tries to point out why these articles WON'T WORK other than tear the Internet apart! The Internet is more than just Amazon, Youtube and Google! The Internet is not just a business! It is a free platform FOR EVERYONE!
Clocks a ticking. Contact your MEP's and get them to join Pledge2019, we need to ensure the Copyright Directive gets voted down before it does lasting damage to the Internet! This is and will be a global issue, as American leaders are eyeing and supporting the directive in hope to get to destroy net neutrality finally, for sake of censorship and profit.
