hello, remember when I used to write actual cute RariTwi fluff??? well its happening again so i'm sharing a snippet from the oneshot I'm working on currently entitled "Twilight takes pony!Rarity to the EGQ world because god damn it I want pony!RariTwi holding hands"

Twilight laughed. “I’m just making sure!” She cleared her throat and looked around. “Anyway! Welcome to Canterlot High.”
For the first time since she’d arrived, Rarity finally took a good look at her surroundings and found the place didn’t actually look altogether different from Equestria. The fountain they were sitting in front of reminded her of ones she’d seen in Canterlot, and even the building in the distance had a strikingly similar architecture to buildings she’d seen in Equestria’s more old-fashioned cities.
The only thing that was different was the creatures walking about, finding no words to describe them save for… furless… vaguely...monkey looking… creatures of all shapes and colors.
“My stars!” she whispered, looking at two girls as they walked by. “It’s the...whatever their name was!”
“Humans.”
“The humans!” She furrowed her brow and wrinkled her nose. “They’re so—! So...”
“Interesting?” Twilight ventured excitedly, and Rarity bit her lip.
“...Well, admittedly, I was thinking of a rather stronger word, but yes, let’s go with that.” Another gaggle of teenagers walked by, and now that she’d acclimated to their species, her attention was drawn towards something entirely more vital. “They’re all wearing clothes! And cute outfits, too!” she pointed out with excitement, and then looked herself and Twilight over. “Goodness, and so are we!”
“We are!” Twilight tapped her chin and hummed. “I’m still trying to understand exactly how the mirror magic works, but so far it seems like it doesn’t just change our physical body, but it also takes into account what we’ll need to blend into the new environment.”
Rarity nodded. “I see! Is there some sort of event going on, then?”
Twilight blinked. “An event?”
“Yes? Why else would we all be wearing clothes?”
Twilight stared at her for one, two, three seconds and then an absolutely shameless smile appeared on her lips.
“What?” Rarity asked, concerned.
“Oh, nothing!” she said casually, shrugging her shoulders. “I guess I forgot to tell you that humans always wear clothes.”
Rarity’s eyes went wide. “Always?”
Twilight nodded. “Yes. In fact…” Her smile went from shameless to sinful. “It’s actually illegal to not wear clothes in public here.”
Rarity gasped. “Illegal?!”
“Very illegal.”
Rarity leaned back on the fountain, a hand on her chest. “Oh my…”
“I bet you like this universe a lot more now, don’t you?”
“If you mean debating moving my business to a universe that will actually appreciate it, then yes, I do.”

This was very cute. Somehow I never thought of Rarity's reaction to not wearing clothing being illegal.
The human world doesn't have an official name, but fans often call it Dougworld, after the American 90's cartoon Doug, where the humans were all different colors.

This right here? This is the heart of why I love EqG. We have a canon excuse to send characters into another universe, transform them into strange and exotic forms, and have them encounter their parallel selves. It's just so many of my jams rolled into one transparent cash grab. Looking forward to seeing what you do with it.
