Hello Everypony, ScarFox9700 here,

I just wanted to let you all know that the halfway point for my overhaul of "Fear from the Rails" has been reached. The original story is now as good as its ever going to get, and it's soon time for me to move on to Phase 2 of the MASSIVE overhaul. Yes, you read that right, Phase 1 of the overhaul is now complete! The original story, (which many see as a failure) is now as good as it's ever going to get, and it's now time for me to begin Phase 2, which is the REAL overhaul!

For Phase 2, like I said before, underneath the original Epilogue, I'll write the new story. (Well, the same story, but a slightly different timeline. This time, there are no herds, every main character gets a wife, weddings happen at the end, ALL 6 of the Humans get to see their families again, the Southern Pacific Railroad gets 4449 back, and the Humans and their wives also have kids together. Yes, this will ALL happen in the New Timeline, which is what I SHOULD have done the first time around! But alas, I failed to do so.

However, thanks to a VERY good friend of mine, Terry the Human, he told me that I needed to fix the story, and he helped me along the way. Together, we came up with the New Timeline for "Fear from the Rails", which over the course of the next few days will be brought in one chapter at a time. Once the new Introduction is ready, I'll reset the story's status to "Incomplete", where it will remain until the new Epilogue is complete. The new story will have 6 chapters compared to the 5 in the original, and while most things remain the same, some more details will be given, and there will be NO HERDS! Yes, Captain Ben "Scar" Anderson will ONLY have Gilda! Won't that be great? I REALLY hope that you'll all give my story a second chance, and I hope that you're as hyped for it as I am!

Well, it's time to head back down into the dust, but stay tuned for the New Timeline to start getting cranked out soon! (And thank you again Terry for convincing me to resuscitate this story before it failed completely!)
