MLP:FiM season 9 trailer

I just saw the season 9 trailer, and it looks awesome. Naturally, I want to share my thoughts, but before I do, I just want to let you all know that the trailer does have some major spoilers and so too will this blog, so if you don't want spoilers, turn back now.🛑

I assume the most significant and shocking part of this trailer will be the return of King Sombra and the destruction of the Tree of Harmony and the Elements of Harmony. Now, I'm doing my best to not freak out here, but it's getting increasingly difficult. I assumed Sombra was just a done-in-one, but damn, seeing him return and destroy the Elements of Harmony is really shocking. Although admittedly, I would have preferred a different villain like Chrysalis or Terik, but we might see them too, possibly working alongside or against Sombra or in a separate episode. Not to mention, with the Elements gone, does that mean we'll see the return of the Rainbow Power from Season 4. It also makes me wonder where the Young Six fit into all this. If you've read the article The New Elements of Harmony, then you probably already know that there is some evidence that the Young Six could potentially be the new bearers of the Elements of Harmony. With the old elements destroyed, could the Young Six be the ones to restore the old elements or possibly replace them? Well, all we know is the season will begin in April, and I'm psyched.
