Well, there is really only one way to put this. I've tried. I've put my heart into these silly pony words, but I just can't seem to make anything good. Even when I feel a chapter is really going good, I fall short in "show vs tell." and I've seen many authors use show vs tell effectively, but perhaps I'm just not one of them. I'm not sure about what I'm going to do from here, but I wanted to thank any pony who has ever read my stories and got something out of it, even if it was simple enjoyment. I'm proud to call myself a pegasister, and decided to simply enjoy reading the well written stories on the site. I appoligize deeply to any fans saddened by this blog, but unless something drastic changes, I can't bring myself to write. It just comes out with me thinking I can't compare, that I'm not good enough.

Well, I would like to thank you for all the hours of enjoyment I've had reading your work. Thank you for all the effort you put into every word, and thank you for bringing these stories from your imagination to life. :derpytongue2:

It's sad to see you stopping, but hopefully you will pick up the pen again one day. One thing I've leaned from my time on this site is that you can't compare yourself to other author, there is nothing positive down that road. You have to find your own comfortable zone within the "show vs tell." I like this think I fall a bit more of the telly side of the line, but that's more due to my dislike of overly wordy stores. For you it maybe different, but as you improve that line my shift.

Until the mood sticks you once again to write, try reading story with differing styles. You should look at asian light novels, as they tend to be way more telly then western novels, yet can still have very good stories. Best of luck to you.

Don't you dare say you're not good enough. You are a treasure to the community. I hope you one day decide to pick up the pen again and bless us with your wonderful stories.

I don't see it as retirement but more like taking a small break from writing. It's better to take a break, read some stories and you may never know, the inspiration will come back.
