A very late Valentine's Day appreciation letter to my friends and followers - from FireRain · 4:15pm Feb 22nd, 2019
Alright, I'm not really a fan of Valentine's Day as a general rule, seeing as it's kinda quiet and uneventful for me, but I wanted to do this, regardless.
It's a day about celebrating and appreciating your loved ones, your family and partners, wherever you may stand in those rankings. Seeing as I don't really have anybody to spend time with on Valentine's Day, and due to the fact that I'm very, very, very, VERY late on this, I felt like I could at least show some of my own appreciation for some of you out there, friends and followers alike. So, let's get started!
Dearest Amethyst Dawn - You have been with me on this site for quite some time, and you have always been there for me to offer me advice, a friendly, open ear and your words of wisdom. I found a very common and rather fun friend in you in the time that I've known you, and although we haven't actually met in person, and likely never will, separated by the bright light of our computer screens, I will say right now that I cherish every single conversation we have had over the years and the kindness and empathy you have shown me.
I am forever grateful for everything, and, from one Fluff Agent to another, I fully declare that I see a honourary brother in you, and that is something that I don't just hand out to anyone. So, gracias, dear sir. In the words of King Duncan from Macbeth, ''Worthy gentleman!''
Through joke to random pun to a classic innuendo thrown in here and there, I honestly love you for it! I do believe that this is something we can continue for as long as we both may live!
Skyward Sword - I know we haven't known each other for very long, but I already hold a strong rapport and an empathetic nerve with you. I see in you someone that is very alike to myself in many ways, and you have been an invaluable aid to me with some of my work. You have given me phenomenal feedback during beta reads and proofreads that have allowed me to further hone my skills as a writer. For that, I thank you dearly, dear sir.
From the Cookie Kingdom, I come a-knocking on the drawbridge of the Muffin Kingdom with a letter of alliance in my chocolate chip hand, a declaration that we may live in harmony in this wondrous land, for however long it may function, and we may coexist peacefully. I hearby fly my flag and I offer it to you as a gift of gratitude, and so long as the wind blows it, it will serve as a reminder of the friendship we have formed together. Hail!
Anonpencil and Flutterpriest - We don't speak much or at all most of the time, but I do have something I would like to say to the two of you - you are both my comedy and hilarity idols! I enjoy everything I read in both of your work, and I think that you are fabulous in your own right. So, I raise my glass to the two of you and I give my thanks for everything.
Anon, I do greatly appreciate you allowing me to give voice to some of your work to post on my new YouTube channel for all the others to enjoy, laugh, puke, cringe and cheer at. They have brought me quite a spine-tingling joy in the past as I was reading them, and I'm sure that you can tell from some of the videos, namely, Rarity Makes You Beautiful, that your words sometimes leaves me in stitches, so I am happy for that. You made me laugh (and cry) at times when I really needed it, and I have to be honest when I tell you that some of your work gave me hope to keep going in my darkest moments, and you gave me reason to smile.
Flutterpriest, I do enjoy your work and sense of humour that shines in your work. The one where Fluttershy tries to guess Anon's fetish? Now, that one was my all-time favourite! It involved a great majority of the humour, disgust and scenarios that make me smile. I do love it, and I will say that I plan to read more of your work, and although we haven't been introduced to each other before, I already like what I see.
Lastly, I would like to give a word to my followers, both on this site and on YouTube -
My Followers - From day one of opening up my own account on this site and writing my first story, I did not expect much in the ways of success with my work, but as the time progressed, I was proven very wrong very quickly. I may have started with a hunk of junk known as Bars and Rainbows Forever, but your words of advice for my spelling, punctuation and general grammar helped push the boundaries in my knowledge and it is because of you that I am now as good as I am now. For that, I cannot thank you enough. You are all so very fantastic for your support and for your words.
With the help that you have given me, I have managed to achieve multiple featured stories, which still baffles me to this day. I think it first started with The Lady, a Guitar and a Very Confused Pinkie Pie, and I'm still shocked and surprised to see that it had gained so much popularity and heat in such a short time. To this day, it remains as my Number One story, and that is something that I least expected! So...thank you.
In my darkest moments, some of you had even reached out and told me how much your cared and talked me out of it, and seeing as we've never met before and I am nothing more but an entity behind a keyboard, I can't tell you how much that means to me. If it weren't for all of you trying to talk sense into my stubborn mind, then I wouldn't be here right now. I owe you big time with that one, people. I really do.
On my YouTube channel, you have helped me grow into something that I never thought to be possible. Through my own readings, Anonpencil's readings and other authors' readings and my TextingStory videos, you have all made me and many others very happy with the content that you support. I thank you for your kind words, inspiration and often hilarious comments that you choose to post on my videos. It makes my day and it makes me feel warm and accomplished on the inside, like what I do makes your day equally as warm and happy, and that is all I ever wanted.
In short: YOU ROCK! Woo-Hoo!
