    April, with many a day…

So I just spent from the third through today (sort of, still have some driving to do) on holiday. Went to Dallas to see the Eclipse in totality, swung though Hot Springs for… well, the hot springs, and finally St Louis for a lovely riverboat dinner before bidding the Boyfriend farewell and starting the trip home.

    Well, I started it...

All Good Things... has commenced. I may have a chapter of it up tonight.

I really want to start closing out the unfinished stories, but sometimes you just can't get back into the flow for them. Sorceress and the Siren is one, Into the Wilds is another. Which is sad cause I love writing Azure.

    Homecoming, in retrospect.

Homecoming as a series is a glorious mess. I’ve gone on short bits of fluff, created some … unique ships, twisted the fabric of canon EqG, and even touched on some dark topics.

    Don't you just hate it...

When you can't find something when you need to?

Case in point, I went looking for a comment where they alluded to It being like Frodo saving the Shire for everyone but himself and had to sail to another land to find solace.

But I can't remember what fic or anything else.

    And it's frustrating to me.

    Meanwhile, in other news...

    For those wondering....

    I am working on Truth.

“What are you doing here?” Sunset stammered as she gazed at her father. Emotions swirled inside of her, a maelstrom of feelings. Confusion, certainly. Some anger, long-simmered and cooled into bitterness. A bit of joy, but just a tiny bit.

    Mostly confusion though.

Red rubbed the back of his neck. “It’s a long story,” he hedged.

Homecoming, Arc One · 8:33pm Feb 21st, 2019

So I did a thing. I counted all the words for Arc One of Homecoming (Everything up to but not Including Forgotten Legacy) and it stands at just under 139k words. That is not including any of the Guest Author works or upcoming revisions to Chaos Theory, Into the Sunset, or Ballade. I'm sure when I'm done with those it'll hit 140K+. Homecoming gained close to three thousand words or so in it's revision, as did Wooing.

As Far as Arc Two goes, I will just be skimming for revisions. I don't think many changes are needed in there besides some word choice changes. Which brings me to an important question.

Insurgence.

Looking back, the story is bat-sh*t crazy. It rambles back and forth and has some concepts that I could easily change, but pulling it down would require a near-total rewrite and that -- to be completely and brutally honest -- doesn't exactly fill me with joy. I liked the idea, but looking at where I was when I wrote it, and the growth I've had since then..........

So I'll leave it to a vote:

Strike from Continuity
Revise but leave in
Full Rewrite

My opinion, for what it's worth, is whichever you wanna do. But, if you go the rewrite route, please don't take down the older versions. I can't tell you the numbers of writers who've yanked down an older version they were re-writing, even though their readers were practically begging them to put them back/leave them up. Since a re-write often changes a lot of scenes and concepts in a story, a lot of folks are like me and like to have both to compare. Maybe post all on Arc 1 in a single file to free up the story titles.

Anyway, I'll read whatever you post for the series.
