'The Banana Splits' return to TV · 3:35am Feb 21st, 2019
As a slasher film. On the SyFy Channel.
I am one hundred percent serious
More from the link here — Here’s the official synopsis:
“A boy named Harley and his family attend a taping of The Banana Splits TV show, which is supposed to be a fun-filled birthday for young Harley and business as usual for Rebecca, the producer of the series. But things take an unexpected turn — and the body count quickly rises."
Who would have ever expected "Banana Splits" and "body count" to be used in the same pitch?
Does this mean that Fanfic has gone mainstream? Because let’s be honest, this film is about how the Banana Splits are (apparently) a gang of murderers who bump people off. It’s like someone did a story about little kids visiting Equestria and getting brutalized and eaten by the ponies. (Hmm, all you gorefic writers may have just found a chance to put your vision on the silver screen.)
I am going to watch this. Come on, it’s a slasher movie about the Banana Splits killing people! Done as a SyFy Original! Missing this would be like missing the original showing of Plan 9 from Outer Space. I have to see this train wreck unfold before my eyes.
