Writing, Discord, and Subscribe Star · 7:31pm Feb 20th, 2019
So as a general update, I'm happy to inform that my mom is finally well enough to start driving herself to work. She can even drive herself to physical therapy if need be. We've still got some other appointments already scheduled, but I'm cautiously optimistic for the future.
In the hope of making my writing a bit more marketable and appealing to $1 donors, I've been playing around with a new Discord server. So far I've only used it to chat with a specific person, but hopefully I'll figure out the server thing soon. Donors with access to this server will be getting some extra story updates. I'm thinking of sharing ideas as they form, and maybe giving access to incomplete chapters as well as the completed ones. Just put more content in general out there to try and please the fans.
As for Subscribe Star, the plan is still to move there once I've got the page all set up, as well as getting the Discord all figured out. Patreon is just too unreliable without any commitment to business ethics and I just don't feel safe there. So far, I've posted Ch 112 of Horse People to this new account https://www.subscribestar.com/typist-gray for $3 donors, as well as as a sneak peek at a new story I'll be starting soon for $1 donors.
If you have any criticisms or critiques, I'm all ears.
P.S. Don't leave my Patreon just yet. Subscribestar is taking a while to load and I still plan on updating Patreon for a few more weeks.
Good to hear your mom's doing better, and yeah Patreon is kind of a sinking ship at this point, as soon as subscribestar allows for donations I'll be moving my patronage to your account there.
