3 People I’ve Found Myself Unable to Get Along With · 6:08pm Feb 18th, 2019
As a continuation from the last post explaining why there were some users I found myself to be having trouble with, I have decided to come out and be open by telling you all about three more people that are on my list of “The Dirtiest and Most Despicable Skunks I’ve Ever Met (In Other Words, People I Don’t Get Along With)”.
And, here they are:
SeaSwirl187, Jondor, and StormLuna: Anyone ever heard of being homophobic? It’s the irrational fear of, aversion to, or discrimination against homosexuality or people who are gay. But, that’s taking things off topic.
Let me tell something to you. These guys are the complete opposite of that. They are heterophobic! The irrational fear or hatred of heterosexuality and people who are straight!
At one point, I left a thread on the Starlight Glimmer group asking this:
This doesn’t have anything to do with the last thread I made, but...has anyone ever planned on doing a Straight Shipping of Starlight Glimmer X OC?
I myself have tried looking for some. However, all I could really find were ones where she’s in love with either Sunburst or Spike. All others just seem to be lesbian shippings between her and Trixie or her and Twilight, which I don’t read.
So, what do you guys think? Interested? Want to see it happen based on it not being done very often?

When it comes to straight shipping Starlight, that is a HELL NO. Hell I write
Cadence as a lesbian so that should let you know about my opinion on straight shipping Starlight. Unless that OC is a mare, no on the OC. Straight shipping is boring as hell anyway....too 1950s for my liking.Now I did write a couple of fics where Sunburst had a crush on Starlight but Fluttershy killed him in one and Trixie killed him in the other.

I was immediately offended that they would say things like that to me, even by breaking rule four of that group, which is “Be cordial, respectful, and tolerate.
Disrespectful behaviour may earn you a temporary, or even permanent ban.” All over a simple question that can even spark a potential story idea too!
I deeply credit Bricklayer, Megaskullmon, FourShadow, Shadowmane PX-41, Whinifree, and group administrator BikerPon3 for coming to my aid and backing me up when this was happening. They were deeply generous. They even told me that they gladly support the idea, unlike the three people I mentioned.
When I also pointed out to the three of them that they were being heterophobic, Jondor went on to reply by saying this:

How many times have I ever told you guys that I’m not homophobic? Plenty, right?
Well, when that user called me that very word, I was absolutely hurt! He called me something without even knowing me at all, and something that is not who I am! If that doesn’t explain why I never want to speak to that user again, I don’t know what will.
StormLuna would also go on to somehow find my post regarding my opinion on Fluttercord. Let me tell you, it was a heck of a conversation if I ever saw one, and both of us had opinions that none of us agreed with.

She is a pony, he is a draconeqqus. The whole interspecies thing is flat out disgusting. Also, they are great friends but I don't see a romantic relationship ever working for them. I personally think Rarity would be the best one for Fluttershy. They seem to interact just right in my opinion. Both of them seem to have more in the way of elegance. Rarity would obviously be far more outgoing while Fluttershy would complement her with her introverted personality.
Now I have also done TwiShy and StarShy but I think in all reality RariShy is the best one.

I find that pairing a member of the Main Six with another member of the group also takes away precisely why they came together in the first place: to become friends and learn about friendship, not become gay and promote homosexuality.
StormLuna: Yet you see nothing wrong with hooking up with one of another species? The show has evolved since season one and I see nothing wrong with them hooking up. Good grief, the way you talk, you talk like them being lesbians is a bad thing!

And you happen to talk like hooking members of the Main Six with male characters is a bad thing, so don’t think only one of us happen to be guilty as charged in terms of preference.
So, as you can see, things didn’t quite go well between StormLuna and I. Things only got worse when we started talking about interspecies relationships, as well as how much I approve of it and how much he or she disapproves of it compared to homosexuality. All the while, SL used a lot of reverse psychology on me, and not in the fun way that Bugs Bunny or Pinkie Pie would use it.

The answer would be yes, I don’t see anything wrong with interspecies relationships.
Also, I have a lot of reasons for why I’m against the act of homosexuality. The list however would be so long it would waste comments. Plus, I’d rather not be going into that if that’s alright.
StormLuna: Very well but approving of interspecies would mean you support humans getting it on with animals, correct? I suppose as long as the animal isn't the same sex as the human all is good, right?

In that case, no. I don’t approve of humans having sex with animals. I mean, come on, there’s a difference between a pony mating with another sapient and a pony mating with whatever isn’t sapient.
StormLuna: You're missing the point. I'm talking about a pony and a non-pony. Sapient or not, I simply find the interspecies thing as just not right. To be honest, I approve of same sex shippings in MLP big time, although mare x mare is always better than any other ship. Ok, I get religion plays heavily into your reasoning and this debate will be nothing more than banging our heads against a wall.

StormLuna: Yes Spike may behave more like an adult at times, which is becoming more frequent but still, he is a BABY dragon. I don't care if a dragon ages one year for every 100 years a pony ages, he is still a baby dragon. Also, you still have the interspecies thing. I think those two would be far better off as simply being friends. I don't get why people ship those two so much anyway. It isn't the worst ship in this fandom, not even close, but it is quite annoying.
Now regarding the reverse psychology, as long as I see opportunities to use it, I will.

If not for user God-of-clocks suddenly coming into the mix and settling our disagreement, then the debate would’ve likely kept going to the point where both of us would get tuckered out and fed up. But, as you can see, our differing beliefs in everything sort of made it hard for us to talk without trying to oppose the other.
However, I’m actually willing to let bygones be bygones between StormLuna and I as of late. It’s mainly been because I’ve been seeing so much positive interaction between SL and other users, leading me to find that he or she seems to be a really friendly person. Along with that, SL actually even gave me some friendly advice here and there, like when a good time to promote my groups and stories would be.
Among other things, I was touched that SL accepted the apology I made about the Anti-Fluttercord group on this thread at the The Shameless Self-Promotion Bureau, as well as the kind words he or she gave:
StormLuna: No need to apologize about that. I despise the ship myself and I have wasted my time and effort on stories bashing a ship when that effort could have been used in a more constructive manner. One of those stories was a literal hate fic towards Sunburst, depicting him as a love starved creep who stalked his crush who he knew was a lesbian and in the end killed himself on a live stream.....a story that I recently deleted because of the lack of effort I put into it.
Don't let this consume you. We all live and learn.
The forgiveness, as well as the kind words, helped me to see a whole other side to SL.
Perhaps...if SL can apologize for the misbehavior made on the thread about Starlight Glimmer a while back, and if both of us can break bread and put our differences aside, things can be different. I would certainly like that, that’s for sure.
You know, a little word of advice here: it might not be the best course of action to write blog posts about the people you don't like or get along with. It just seems like something that could cause a lot of trouble for you down the line.
In fact, if I were you, I'd get rid of that section of your profile altogether.

I see what both of you mean. It’s not a good thing to be pinning the flaws that another person has.
But, I’d like to ask:
Are there any people that you’ve been having a hard time getting along with? If so, then, how do you deal with your feelings towards them? Isn’t it okay to make the troubles that you had with others public?
All I’m trying to do here is just be more open. When people seem to be acting all mean towards me, I can’t help but be unable to keep it to myself for longer than a year.

So called 'Gay-Conversion Therapy' comes to mind. You've defended that in the past.
I have nothing against people willingly approaching a religious person looking for advice.
I have nothing against people looking to faith for comfort, answers, or something to strive for.
I have nothing against people of a different worldview who are willing to coexist despite their differences.
However, when someone falsely claims to have credentials in Psychology or the equivalent thereof, practices in something proven not only to be grossly ineffective but also has a very high risk of giving the 'patient' new or aggravated mental health issues such as (but not limited to) anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, ect.; that I take issue with.
Consequentially, when someone claims to support what is essentially an extreme form of bullying/psychological (and often physical) abuse; I take issue with them.
I'm civil with you and AMU, but I keep you both at arms distance for defending this.
