Its rare that I respond to blogs and it's even rarer to respond to yours but this one in particular caught my eye. What make you think that will happen? Because it's rare for a fandom to completely die off. Just look at Teen Titans(The original), Undertale(although that one is probably due to Deltarune sparking the series back up but even then, it was still going strong) and even Bakugan(Anyone remember the original series?).The first one in particular was (and still is) going even long after it ended(although you can argue that it's much stronger now due to TTG and to that, I say bosh because it was still very much relevant long before that existed).
Keep in mind that there might be a Gen 5(and with Equesrtia Girls being a thing) as well so I dont think this fandom is going anywhere anytime soon.

5015842 The reason why it will happen is because of the recent dislike of season 3 when Twilight became an alicorn which still exist also some fans on forums have stated they have left the fandom or only watch the first three seasons after Twilight became an alicorn.
Second reason why it will happen Is because bronycon will end with the show. (This is was really announced) Once bronycon ends the fandom will get discouraged end mass.

I agree with you. EqG can just keep going on its own, given it's really a seperate franchise. I wouldn't be at all surprised if they just dropped the MLP name from that altogether!

I have to disagree with you there. Some fandoms are very resistant. For instance, the community surrounding Thunderbirds is still going strong. When did the last episode of that broadcast?

While it did shake it, the fandom was still strong. Heck, Equestria Girls(Or more specifically, the first movie) had a lot of people at arms at first(citation needed) but soon, everyone accepted it. Especially by the second movie.
That is irrelevant. While it will be saddening(I've never been to one unfortunately), that wont stop everyone from being together. Like

Not necessarily. The brony fanbase is known as one of the biggest fandoms out there. Sure, it's been going downhill for a while, but it's still going pretty strong. Honestly, it's the fan base itself that keeps itself going strong, if that makes sense. Because even those who stopped watching the show stay on this site to write and talk and other stuff.
