Winter Update for Sunset of Battle

Going to be a short update.

Chapters 15 and 16 are in the final editing phases now. I'm waiting to publish anything however until after chapters 17 and 18 are done so I have the latitude to tweak 15 and 16 as needed. Once the current story arc is finished I'll start posting the chapters on a weekly basis.

    That is all...

    Like I said; short update.

    A minor alteration...

I made a minor edit to the most recent chapter. There were two little words that had become a massive pain in my arse working on the next chapter. They were, 'to her'. :twilightangry2: It was leading to rabbit holes of character arguments that spiraled into hellish domains where finding a feasible 'out' for Sunset grew dire indeed. After several attempts I've decided to just rip out the root

Nearing the end of Schola Arc, and future planning.

So, as I begin to near the final rise in action for the schola arc of Sunset of Battle I'm looking more and more ahead to what I want to do with the story and where to go next. My general plan is to do a time-skip to when they are novitiates and start the next arc in-media res. But what to do and who to have as the antagonists?

More Sunset/Warhammer 40k related stuff. · 9:03pm Feb 11th, 2019

So, I've been working more and more on that silly little Sunset Shimmer in Warhammer 40k story. At this point I have a very good idea of the first story arc, with about half of it written. Depends on how long the fourth and fifth parts turn out. I'm expecting them to be fair sized. But, we'll see where my muse takes me. My plan with the story is to get an arc completed before posting it, with each able to be a novella in its own right in case it takes me months or more before the next arc is ready to go. It's how I wanted to post the Rariad, but my impatience there got the better of me.

Also, anyone see the reveal of the new Battle Sister model? No lie, I did a little squeal of delight. :yay: Looks sooo amazing! Can't wait for the rest of the new plastic Sisters line to be unveiled. My only concern now resides with the Repentia. The Beta Codex in Chapter Approved had pictures of all the old units, except them. I just hope the design and fluff behind them isn't drastically altered from what it used to be. So far the little bits that have been shown/teased gives me some hope, however.

Though, I don't know if I want to run any in my army given their current beta stats. I'm leaning more towards Dominions, Seraphim, and Retributors.

Anyways, I am in a 'good grove' with this particular story at the moment. The characters are almost all writing themselves, the scenes are flowing, and my muse has set out her lawn chair and sunbrella from which she can pummel me with inspiration. Now, I just am not sure what to call the story, or what to use as cover art.

So excited. Plastic Sisters is what got me to pull the trigger and get some models. Granted, I got Marines (painted up as Lamenters), but I needed the practice so I can do my future ladies justice. Plus, the Easy to Build kits makes for a cheap kill team.

We're there dude, uh huh huh huh. This is gonna be cool, Uh huh huh huh uh huh huh huh!

Yeah. I decided to go a bit into the deep end of the pool initially having never made models and got Celestine and her Geminae. That was... neverwracking. Especially Celestine. :rainbowlaugh: Recently I picked up a Locus and Magus from the new genestealers. Was drooling this morning looking at the Jackal Outrider Detachment. And those Aberrants... Ah, if only I had disposable income right now I would so make some Mad Max styled genestealers. Who needs infantry when you have dirtbikes and cars? :pinkiecrazy:

I wouldn't go that far as my knowledge of 40k is still rather limited. Also, balancing the tonal differences between mlp and the Grim Darkness of the far future is a challenge. I'm generally hopeful, however, of it at least being an entertaining read, even if it turns out to be a little inaccurate on how the Imperium and its citizens ends up being portrayed.

I don't know a lot off 40k, but I liked your first writing.
Also, I'm trying to get into sculpting and painting figurines, so I get to see a lot of Warhammer in videos and tutorials. I would be glad to see your miniatures if you want to share.

I'm definitely looking forward to the new Vanguard marines that were teased, especially the Eliminators!

They haven't even been primed yet. I've got the paints I need though. Just, been having trouble getting around to it with everything else that is going on right now. Similar issue with my writing.

The new Primaris Lieutenant looks good too! :trollestia:
