Average brony obsessing over the main cast with an unhealthy desire to see them in a dark fantasy setting.

:ajsmug: Evening Everyone

:applejackunsure: Well, it's really no surprise that when I want to do some big art project and haven't drawn anything digitally in months that I get frustrated and stop for a while when things aren't working. In short, Star Overhead chapter one is done, edited and preread by not me. A first, but I've only got one person who I can count on to actually read my work so that's what that is. Problem is of course the cover art, which is not done. I wanted a background and a lookout and some fancy darkness effects and... I am still not very good a color and I just don't know how to actually execute what I want. So, I'll end up simplifying that and have Twilight just kinda standing in the void. Characters I can do, but the moment we try to background™ everything falls apart. I've been neglecting my art for my writing, and obviously my art has suffered for it. One day, I'll figure out how to balance my life. That day is not today though, because I'll be headed to the gym on my new motorcycle which I will be paying off till October. I'm an adult damn it, I make good decisions!

 That aside, I'm actually really pleased with the opening to this new story. I've never written anything in this style, so be ready for a wild ride. If Super explains everything to you, Star Overhead will explain nothing to you. My prereader caught most everything I put in the first chapter without me saying anything explicitly, so I think I've done a good job with what I wanted to do. The goal is to make sure you can put into words what's going on so I don't have to.

:raritywink: On the other side, I'll be writing and hopefully finishing the next chapter of Super this week and moving on to Star Overhead's second chapter after that. My goal is to get at least 10,000 words every week till Super is done, and damn it, I will finish that story by april. my true deadline is the end of April, but I want it done before then, so I'm gonna sit down and finish this crap. I found a new method of chapter planning that has been working out wonderfully, so the hope is that it expedites the process.

:derpytongue2: Anyways, that's all from me. If I can do it, Star Overhead will be out Thursday with a cover, and if not, without one. Super update on Monday the 11th.
Until Next Time~
