Some Random Thoughts, Volume 2. · 1:06am Nov 6th, 2012
Hey there everypony, Nobreiner here. I decided because I have a lot of random thoughts I might as well get them out there and clear my head a bit. This will be a lot like my last random thoughts post, so if you like that, stick around.
First off, I just finished the Mass Effect 3 Story Campaign. I know, I know where the hell have I been? Well, to be honest, after hearing all the flak the ending has gotten I was pretty reluctant to finish it, because otherwise I loved the game so far and I didn't want to taint the experience. But I've just finished it today, and I gotta say, I shouldn't have been worried. It wasn't spectacular, but I actually wouldn't say it was bad, certainly not bad enough for me to dislike the game as a whole. Now before you dump a million reasons as to why I should hate it and how horrible it was, just know that one of the major things that keeps this from tainting my view of the game, is how fucking spectacular it was until then, and how amazing the entire Mass Effect series has been. I grew up with this as my first RPG series, so yes, I am biased. It's the same reason I put up with Call of Duty's BS over the years, because COD4 was so epic. I am a loyal gamer, I stick to what I know and I defend it when it fucks up. Maybe Mass Effect 3 did just that, but you know what? I don't blame it. Ending a series like that, it would have hurt no matter how great they made it, and they did their best. As for my personal thoughts about the ending? Manly tears were shed.
Alright, let's loosen up a bit with my second point. HALO 4 WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I'm excited. Are you excited? I've never been so excited!
And lastly, I am considering starting a new story, one that would be on my fanfiction account and not my fimfiction one. It is essentially a Mass Effect SI (I know, original right?) but with my own twist. It takes place just as Mass Effect 1 kicks off, and the main character (me) is, pause for dramatic effect... turned into a Varren. A Biotic Varren. A Biotic Varren that only Shepard can understand. I know this may seem strange, but I've already thought up so many ideas for it, and I really want to get a chance to let them out. So what do you guys think? Sound like I could make it work? Let me know what your opinion is.
Well, that's it. I should probably tell you that I've already gotten 1000 words of the next chapter of The Noble Guardians done, so hooray for progress on that. Peace!

You misunderstand, this is a purely Mass Effect story, no MLP elements. Sorry.
The mass effect idea is a yes in my opinion.
A Biotic Varren, those things that are a cross between a dog and Velociraptor you are making it you and making have superpowers? Damn... normally I would shy away from SI fics but that sound too damn funny to pass up. What's your FFN account, link me when you post it.
Now on to Halo4... sorry not excited, ok I am a Halo fan or as much as one can be without a XBox or a PC that won't melt when you play it, can't play the game.
And some random thought of my own, according to the spell checker built into Firefox Velociraptor is not a real word.
