  • TStarlight Over Detrot: A Noir Tale

A print run of Starlight Over Detrot?

So, the Ministry Of Image printing house has a new survey up! Can you guess who is on it?

I am absurdly excited. I doubt we'll get printed, but it would be amazing if we did! I would love to hold a copy of Starlight Over Detrot in my hands one day.

    So, what's next?

Starlight Over Detrot is done and now I'm intent on writing something else. I've got the outline for a romance novel. A non-pony romance novel, mind. That being said, I wanna write a few more pony things while I do that. I've got a heap of ideas for an 'Epilogue Part Four' for Starlight which happens a few years after the events of Epilogue Part Three and just sorta ties everything off.

    I'M NOT DEAD!

Okay, so the final main-story chapter of Starlight Over Detrot is *now* in the editorial pipe-line. It's headed to the people who do the good stuff.

The editors, being the geniuses they are, will likely have it finished VERY soon and I'll pump it out to everybody. Is this the end of Starlight Over Detrot?

    ONE MORE CHAPTER!

Dear lord, shoot me in the face.

All the years I've been writing this and I say to myself "Yeah, gonna finish it tonight!" then the characters get to talking. Talking. Just back and forth. GRAH!

Well. It's cold. · 5:58pm Jan 31st, 2019

HOLY DOG FUCKER CHEESE WHEEL WHAT THE FUCK IS WITH THIS WEATHER?!

I am currently sitting very calmly inside a house which is the only thing keeping me from instant, frigid death. It was -30 last night with a -60 degree windchill.

It's made writing a tad slow, so please excuse me, but I did want to get the chapter right...and entertaining. It should be reasonably entertaining. We're working to the final chapters, here! I had to give the characters a bit of a break.

There will be a couple of 'build up' chapters before the finale, so if anyone has anything they want to see resolved, please leave me comments or messages on various blogposts and I will see about getting the various t's cross and i's dotted.

I love you guys. You kept me sane the last few years. I'll be ecstatic to finish this tale for you and I hope you enjoy the ending.

I'm just gonna be honest, I REALLY wanna see Hardy meet Celestia because we all know, he's gonna say some dumb shit.

It'll be gold, comedy gold.

Agreed, add in nightmare moons reaction is head and it would be amazing

Know the feeling, it's been frigging freezing here the last couple of weeks n we got snow today (not much thankfully)

Take ya time, no rush n can't wait to read em

Ugh, I know that feel. You know it's going to be bad when the fuel in the delivery truck solidifies and the freezer is warmer than the outside temperature...

Oh, right, you are out there, aren't you? Good luck with the weather, aye.
(Nothing unresolved that seems like it won't be resolved without prodding is coming to me at the _moment_, but I'll try to remember to let you know if something does. :))

...Ooh, though, yeah. :D

minus 20 yesterday i have good news it is supposed to warm up over the weekend to 60 to 70 degrees

Stay safe, Chessie :ajsmug:

Thats why Inuit buy chest freezers. the insulation keeps the inside warm and prevents freezer burn. Maybe urban myth, but that is a lot of insulation.

Good news indeed! Turns out a sudden, drastic thaw like that has its own set of problems. Hope you don't live near a river! :pinkiecrazy:

There has been just a bit of a cold snap, hasn't there...
