Wholesome Rage: Daredevil's Virtues are Flawed Writing · 8:16am Jan 30th, 2019
As an extra note: Someone really needs to write a Punisher storyline around the framework of a slasher movie, only quirky criminals instead of sexy teenagers, and play Punisher as the villain.
Might do that at some point.
The Punisher is only more effective than Daredevil in a super grounded setting. In the comics his impact on crime is exactly the same as every other super hero.

I feel like that comes down to the same flaw in "Who would win in a fight between X and Y" - whoever the writer decides. When directly compared, it's usually noted Punisher is: At least, Daredevil S2 puts it that way.
A really great article. (Spoilers for the Netflix Daredevil and Punisher series) The Season 3 Finale, where Daredevil doesn't commit murder but covers up the serious crimes of Kingpin's wife as part of extorting the Kingpin, seemed to me like such a week ending because if you're going to commit those felonies anyway, why not just kill the Kingpin?
I also generally agree with you assessment of the Punisher, though it always bothered me how they made it in the Netflix series so he has zero collateral damage. Guy fires off a shotgun through the roof in a hospital, I don't care how much a world class marksman he is, he's going to kill some innocent people.
