You may notice I have a new story. This new story is titled, simply and mysteriously, Yiyxa. This story is supposed to be very mysterious and get you to ask many questions about what's going on. So if you want a completely blind experience, I'd recommend avoiding this blog entirely.
But if you want some details...
LEVEL 1: Yiyxa is a story about characters who explore a world of tremendous size and depth. Everything - from the world itself to the characters in it - has a secret or hidden nature about it. Yiyxa exists to get the reader to ask questions and come up with theories about what's really going on in this mysterious world. Take nothing for granted when reading, but always try to use what you know to understand the world within these words.
LEVEL 2: Yiyxa's inspiration came while reading Austraeoh. It wasn't so much the epic journey that drew me in - I had read many things like it before - but the way it was told with small chapters and a sense of unknown wonder... That drew me in. This story has nothing to do with Austraeoh from a story standpoint (I've only read the first book anyway) but I'm using it to try something a little different from my usual writing style that won't be quite so stressful for me.
LEVEL 3: Yiyxa is one of two major sidestories for my biggest fic on this site - Songs of the Spheres. However, unlike SotS, Yiyxa deals only with a single universe - none of this hopping from world to world to see what happens. Everyone you recognize from SotS is stuck there. Why? Well, that's one of the many mysteries of the story I encourage you to piece together. Understanding SotS is not important to the story, and I actually think it's better if you read it without knowing what SotS is, so more things remain mysteries for longer.
