Really bad news, everyone. · 7:58pm Nov 5th, 2012
Some of you may have heard news of an apartment fire in your local newspapers. If not, long story short, my family suffered a horrible house fire that took the life of a dear friend and several beloved pets.
While my things made it out mostly intact, second floor is nearly gone, and the very top floor is nothing but a burnt out husk of an attic. In this fire, my aunt lost her husband and her two dogs, along with anything that was upstairs. My nephew lost all of his possessions, also. On the second floor, my uncle lost most of his worldly possessions, and my oldest sister lost everything, including her three dogs and possibly a cat. My uncle was the one who also alerted everyone else to the fire. I was at work when It started. I lost my TV, xbox 360, bed, and dresser.
while everyone has mostly stable housing at the moment, we're still quite shaken. We have donations coming from the community, so we'll be set for clothes, furniture, and the like. my laptop also made it out of the fire so I'll still be able to retain some contact with everyone. I ask for your hearts and prayers to go out to Mrs. Kathleen Curtis, who lost her husband and two dogs. If anyone would like to send cards, money, or donations, please send them to 309 Prospect Street, Binghamton NY, 13905-1176, Packages can be sent care of Karen and Donald Mattox. While we don't expect anything from you all except emotional and moral support, I'm sure everyone else would appreciate the gesture. I have calls to make and arrangemnts to set up, so I'll talk to you all when I have some more time.
Southpaw out.
My heart goes out to you my friend. Know that you and your family will be in my prayers.

While things are getting back to normal, slowly, it's still a long road to recovery. I'll give you guys updates here and there when I can, but for the most part, we're ok.
