Why the long pause on Something Missing? · 11:22am Jan 21st, 2019
Okay, okay, I'll be honest, I haven't written a thing for SM in like, forever, but really, It's less the fact I'm tired of writing it and more just... Well, I just don't wanna right now. Motivation for SM is meh, but while I could write a few chapters right now, They'd be hollow and that's exactly what I don't want in ANY story I'm going to write.
Honestly, writing isn't my job, I just do it for fun, so when my interest wanes on a story, I'mma back off for a minute to let the batteries recharge.
But hey! Bonus! In my off time I've planned all the way up to freakin Alicorn Sparkle Pants herself popping up! All that's really left is to write the stupid thing, and, as stated, don't wanna right now. Might write a chapter in like a week though, dunno.
And uh, don't worry, I'm not about to go putting all that planning to waste. Something Missing ends either at the ending, or if I bite the dust. Hopefully the former.
The writer’s muse is a finicky mistress. I had my muse leave me just two chapters left in a story I was writing. When my muse returned I had a complete different story in mind.
I for one fully understand and will faithfully wait.
Your story your rules
I will wait
Write whenever and however you want m'dude, that's really the best way to go about it. Take a break if you want or need it, drop it entirely if you want or need it, or keep trucking right to the end if you want or need it. Your story, your hobby, your life. Do as you want, do as you need
Long pause? This is normal in the fanfiction-writing business. It took me like six months to update a fanfiction of mine. Heck, it'll almost be a year since my friend last updated his fanfiction. Don't sweat about a thing, just take your time and everything will be peaches.
Of course go completely off-line for a month and people will start to worry more.
and heeeeeeeeesssssssssssss dead
