Rarity and Applejack

Okay, the latest Equestria Girls short did in two minutes what Rollercoaster of Friendship couldn't do in 50. It got me to believe that AJ and Rarity were best friends. I mean, they weren't excessively chummy with each other, but at the same time, they weren't bickering like their pony versions did in earlier seasons even though they were clearly wearing out each other's patience. For example, Rarity attempts to remain attentive despite the fact that Applejack lost her interest yesterday while Applejack diligently works around Rarity and Opalescence's interruptions. Their interactions had a way of communicating both their care for and annoyance with each other simultaneously. They kind of reminded me of Rhett and Link without the over-the-top comedy. I honestly hope we see more of this and less of Rollercoaster of Friendship.
