Chapter 58 is up, also a bit of lore. · 6:50pm Jan 12th, 2019

Hello, sorry about the wait, the holiday season has everyone behind, as how things are, though I haven't stomped writing, actually finishing ch 63 on my end. I'm actually surprised that I'm as close to the end of this story as I am, and more surprised to how much I have written. So thanks for sticking with me in this adventure, it will be sad when it's done, but I have a few other story's to tell.

So on that bit of Lore...

A short explanation of how the Sparkle-Lurker's young work. At the heart of it, they go through stages of mutation, halting their chitin and become a new animal. The newborn Lurkers are in essences pony shoe crabs, with little in the way to defend themselves other then their hard shell. As they grow, their limbs become longer, goring webbing to help them swim, turning from what is a bottom feeder, into an animal that can actively hunt.

In their later stages, the ponyfactation starts happening, mainly the changing of their 14 legs into more specialized tasks, Being: Sensoring, protecting the mandibles/crushing food, manuving in water, and the res fuse together into four pony like legs, creating a stable stucter to hold the body up. another strange transformation is their 8 eyes becoming two, though it dose not do anything differently then what a pony eye can, but potentially their eyes can keep functioning even if damaged, as only 1 of 4 have been damaged.

On last thing, even to the lurkers, it is unknown if their young are even sentient, as the young are unable to show much emotion, or boding early on, though parent lurkers will still baby their young as though they are. Because of this nursery pools are zealously guarded, and are the few times where they become immediately hostile to any outsiders.

I've been wandering about them for awhile now. Now I know more about them.
