Those of you who followed me a while back may remember my concept for a commander set based on My Little Planeswalker. Well, after a bit of designing, I’ve finally managed to come up with a proper decklist! This one is for the first of the five decks, Arcane Royalty, a spellslinger-themed deck with a “politics” subtheme. A * denotes an entirely new card, designed specifically for this deck.

-12: You may exile an instant or sorcery card from your hand or graveyard. If you do, copy that card three times. You may cast each copy without paying its mana cost.
Twilight, Soul of Magic can be your commander.

First strike; vigilance; bushido 2 (When this blocks or becomes blocked, it gets +2/+2 until end of turn)
Whenever Sun-Tail, War Calligrapher attacks, reveal the top card of your library. If it’s an instant or sorcery card, you may cast it without paying its mana cost. Otherwise, draw a card.

Whenever a player becomes the target of a spell, each other player draws a card.

Chancellor's Judgment 3WU
Sorcery (Rare)
Council's dilemma — Starting with you, each player votes yay or neigh. For each player who voted yay, you draw a card. For each player who voted neigh, that player can’t cast spells until your next turn.
He follows the law to the letter, and both of them spell ‘no.’
Magical Mishap 3RU
Instant (Rare)
Counter target instant or sorcery spell. Its controller exiles cards from the top of their library until they exile an instant or sorcery card. You may cast that card without paying its mana cost. Then put the exiled cards that weren't cast this way on the bottom of that library in a random order.
Turn to the Light 2RW
Instant (Rare)
Exile target creature that’s attacking you or a planeswalker you control. At the beginning of your next upkeep, put that card onto the battlefield under your control. It gains haste. Its owner gains control of it at the end of that turn.
If only for a moment, once mortal enemies were united in cause.
Biolectric Feedback 1RU
Instant (Uncommon)
Choose one:
- Counter target creature spell. Biolectric Feedback deals 2 damage to its controller.
- Biolectric Feedback deals 2 damage to target creature and 2 damage to that creature’s controller.
New Selesnya evokers quickly learn not to summon in a thunderstorm.
Discarded Insight 1U
Sorcery (Uncommon)
You may cast Discarded Insight from your graveyard, but not from your hand.
Draw two cards. Exile Discarded Insight.
“Now, where did I leave those notes?”
Scholarly Bargain 2U
Sorcery (Rare)
Target opponent may draw two cards. If they do, search your library for a card, put it into your hand, then shuffle your library. Otherwise, scry 2, then draw two cards.
A timely exchange of ideas.
Starlight Swirl URW
Instant (Uncommon)
Starlight Swirl deals 3 damage to any target and you gain 3 life. Look at the top three cards of your library, then put them back in any order.
In Equestria, stars are said to be born from long-abandoned dreams. The few who can harness their power weave galaxies of untapped potential.
