As you can guess by the title, today is my birthday and while some one say this gives me the right to act like a spoiled brat and demand presents from all of you, I won't do that... well not exactly.

It's a joke.
Anyway, aside from it being the day of my birth (a day which brings me gradually closer to death), today I also have a few things I would like to discuss with you all.
So let us focus on that inside of the inevitability of death.
As stated back in one of my previous updates, I will be writing a bonus chapter for Ask Roseate Grimsbane, which should come out next December. However, due to the nature of the event, Readers wouldn't be able to vote on the event normally as it wouldn't make sense with the events happening in Chapter 13 for Roseate to ask the readers about events happening presumably a couple months later.
So I thought, why not make a blog where you guys can vote on it with several months.
Thus here is what you will be voting on:
- Should Roseate and Arsthotua go to a Hotspring for Hearth's Warming?
- Should Roseate tell her students a variation of a Chri... Hearth's Warming story?
- Or perhaps both...
While the last one does seem like an "all the above" option, let me please explain why it is there. For starters both 1 and 2 could be pretty long segments in and of themselves, so having them both could result in an extremely long chapter that might feel a bit drawn out.
Rather then assume that you all would be willing to endure that, I figured I would ask.
In the case that you vote on either 2 or 3, I do have additional request, which is that you offer a suggestion for a Christmas story that Roseate might use in the story. The one condition being that it can't be a story that has been seen in the show as of this last season (MLP season 8).

In other news, chapter 5 is almost done. There is just one section I need to finish, along with a few bells and whistles, and just a quick preread to see if I like what I see before I send it off to the proofreaders/editors.
Sadly, I haven't heard back from TheDizzyDan for a while and so, I might have to consider finding a new proofreader.
Other than that, everything is looking a bit better.
I have been ill with a small infection, which while I don't want to talk about it, I do believe it is improving.

Also, I'd say 3. A hot springs sounds wonderful, and Roseate could probably use the stress-relief. As for the carol... Hrm. Do you mean a carol as in a son or "A Hearth's Warming Carol" like the episode? Because her getting the kids to sing an off-color carol about something silly sounds pretty damn heartwarming to me.

Th story of Scrooge is called "A Christmas Carol," but not all Christmas stories are carols. In fact, caroling is when large groups of people go from door to door, singing Christmas songs to bring cheer to their neighbors. Here's a picture of some fillies caroling inside "A Hearths Warming Tail" for example.
If you're going for a Christmas Story, I vote for a Ponified retelling of A Nightmare Before Christmas. It not only suits Roseate, but it's also a good jab at how holidays in Equestria seem... a little out of order...

For the extra one for this year's winter though, I'd like to see option 1; The hotsprings. Both by how hilarious it'd be to see an otherwordly entity try to enjoy the pleasures of mortals, and by how adorable it could be to see Roseate and her husband interact in that enviroment.
And the potential dangers that they could face in there.Good luck finding a new proofreader, if Dizzy doesn't show up anytime soon. .n.
