BronyCon Book Store · 7:01pm Jan 8th, 2019
So yeah, that's totally something that I'm doing. Info here

So I'm actually bringing 2 books to the bookstore. The first is obviously TD the Alicorn Princess, of which you can still buy a copy. The page of that story has the link. The second one is an anthology of a bunch of my shorter stories. Sorry, The Secret Life of Rarity will probably not be ready in time. In any case, the stories I'm currently putting into the anthology are:
Hello, This is Not a Scammer, I Promise
Oh Come On, I Just Wanna Rule Equestria!
Best Friends
Mortality
Stop That Derpy!
Twilight Fights Cheerilee's Class, Chaos Ensues
Tails
One Word
Broken Gladiator
The Cleansing
To Catch an Element
I Spoke to Ms Smarty Pants Today
Princess Celestia Gets Mugged
The Trials of Elizabeak the Brave Little Chicken
Downfall
Now that sounds like a lot, but TD the Alicorn Princess was 460 pages at about 225,000 words. This one, with everything, is approximately around 300 pages and 92,000 words.
Are there any other stories you'd like to see in there? I'm avoiding TD or Killer Rarity short stories/one shots.
Gah, my son is due the day after tomorrow!
Congrats and I am sorry.
Congratulations! Your life is about to change in so many interesting ways. Have fun, don't stress and know that you really are doing alright.
4993414 The mark of somebody who knows what it is like to be a parent. Grats to you too.
Parental advice from a grandparent here: The first year is the most difficult and the easiest. Yeah, that sounds funky, but trust me. They stay where you put them, have exactly three states (happy, unhappy, sleeping) and can be effectively ignored for small periods of time. Don't over-buy stuff. They need food (formula/pumping equipment), diapers, clothes enough to keep them warm, something to carry them in, and a copy of The Lazy Dragon of Dragonvale (publication pending). That's about it. Find a binky they like, buy five of them, keep 4 in the diaper bag. Find a fuzzy they like to hold, buy six of them (bed, being held, diaper bag, extras for lost ones) A few pretty toys that make some noise, fine. The entire infant collection from Toys-R-us, no. Everything they own will be covered in poop eventually. Buy diaper wipes by the case. Don't buy the custom baby bathtubs, do buy a Tupperware dish/sink tub. You can repurpose it after baby gets to sitting up and playing in the real tub.
At one year, they become mobile. The larval stage is over, the sprinting stage begins. Buy a leash. Honest. People who turn up their noses at leashes have never had mobile children. And may God be with you and your family.
