    Yes I am alive

Sorry I've been so absent as of late. My new project kinda absorbed me a bit :twilightsheepish: Actually, for the past year ever since I decided to write a Warriors fanfiction I couldn't really think about much else as far as writing is concerned, even right now.

    It's been 10 years!

Yeah, it's been 10 years since I've made an account on this website and published the first two chapters of Rebirth of the Damned, my first story (you can't tell now because back then when you would edit chapters and save them then it would overwrite the date of publication).

Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir · 12:08pm Jan 4th, 2019

More commonly known as simply Miraculous Ladybug. Yep, this is the show that I had recently watched and become such a fan of it that I decided to talk about it here, in hopes of spreading this great show to more people and learning the opinions of those of you who had already watched it^^

So, I first learned about this show by seeing on my youtube notifications that one of the reactors I follow there had started watching it. At first, I was dismissive of it. I mean, with a name like that? Even to a fan of My Little Pony that name sounds a little... weird. I did notice one the notification images that it looked quite pleasant for the eye, though. Some time after that, while out shopping, I noticed Kinder Surprise had started a line of toys from this very show, and thought to myself that this show must be somewhat successful if they're doing that. Still, it wasn't for about two more months before my curiosity would lead me to checking out an opening of the show on youtube; why did I decide to search for it? Dunno, really, I guess I was just having one of those days, staying in bed one weekend morning and browsing through youtube videos. In any case, this is what I found:

A lot of thoughts went through my head while I was watching it the first time, but the final one I had, after it was over, was: "Well shit, now I have to watch this". I mean, the animation looks so smooth and pleasant, the song's catchy, the main characters act cutesy with each other in this (give me too interesting charcters and make then act cutesy and you basically sold it to me), and as far as I was able to get from this regarding the plot, it's Sailor Moon meets Spiderman/Batman in Paris.

Since Spiderman was probably my favorite cartoon when I was 10-12, Batman is Batman and Sailor Moon... I recall watching it as a kid, like 5 years old, but had very little memory of it. But then one day six or so years ago (was in college by then) I saw this while browsing youtube:

Except the version I had watch was without subtitles. Of course, years of watching anime with subtitles allowed me to get a pretty good idea of what was going on, but still, I lacked details and context. So, of course, I decided to watch that whole series in Japanese with subtitles. It was... entertaining. That old anime isn't maybe amazing, but it is certainly fun to watch. (Also, fun fact regarding that clip, that specific episode wasn't aired in my country. I found that out by accident when I was reading once a book about mass culture and differences between countries. Apparently they weren't happy about nun and a church being showed in this episode, dunno why, you would think that the church would be happy that some character in Japan was fantasizing about getting married in a church, even if that character was a cat. Then again, that was revealed in the end of the episode, throughout the most of it it was believed that he was ogling a nun, which I can understand a little better, but that would mean that people in charge of television looked only at the beginning of the episode and decided that it was bad for Polish kids :facehoof::facehoof::facehoof:) So yeah, you could say that I have a fond memories of that show, and I could certainly watch something that appears to have similar formula to it.

After watching the first few episodes, I realized quickly that this isn't Sailor Moon meets Spiderman/Batman in Paris, rather, better description would be that this is Sailor Moon if she lived in France, was actually competent, magical animals were useful, friends weren't borderline braindead stereotypes, and the love interest wasn't an eyecandy that was useless throughout 95% of the time that doesn't do anything aside from giving the main character a "ladyboner power up", as somebody recently called this to me (... okay, I might have some issues with Sailor Moon:twilightsheepish:). Anyway, what I am trying to say is, is that this show is really good. I got very quickly hooked up on it, and watched both seasons, the first episode of season 3 that is out already for some reason, and the Christmas Special episode all in less than a week^^ It instantly become my 3rd most favorite animated show, taking that place from MLP (I love my ponies, but lets admit it, the show has some flaws), and after in Volume 6 of RWBY all the characters decided to be stupid, it now stands proudly on the 2nd place of my favorite animated shows, with only Steven Universe being better^^

The first season starts a bit slow, serving primarly to introduce all of the characters in the show, show off their characters (pun intended ;p) and their relationships to each other, and set up their character development that continues in later season, and the action and funny moments are entertaining to watch. The plot really comes up by the end of the season. Season two though, oh boy, this is where the show starts to really shine. As I said, the character development continues, especially regarding one character, the show is as funny and entertaining to watch as in season one, and the plot comes up every now and then throughout the season. And the romance... those of you who read Rebirth of the Damned, remember how infuriated you were with Arthas & Twilight romance? Well, my ridiculous romance ain't got nothin' on this miraculous romance (pun intended, again)^^ Seriously, prepare to be infuriated and loving every second of it :rainbowlaugh:

Okay, that's about all I wanted to say about this show. It's a really great show that's worth watching, so I figured that those of you who are looking for something new to watch (while the phantom of Friendship is Magic ending soon looms over all of us) might be interested in it. Those of you who are already watching this show, feel free to leave a comment with your thoughts on it^^

(PS: Forgot to mention, the show is French, but the English dub sounds really good to me. Anyway, mentioning this so you know that they took some liberties while translation the theme song, so don't be surprised that there is so very little action happening in nightime - pretty sure you can count the number of episodes on one hand from both seasons - or what was "power of love" supposed to be about.)

Ah yes the infamous love square it’s intriguing and funny yet at the same time infuriating
