Hello, everyone. I'm gonna tell all of you what happened.
For starters, this is the first time I hear about "meta stories". Those are supposed to be stories in which FimFiction or its users are mentioned. Well, let's say that kind of stories are not allowed.
Why am I telling you this? Because of what happened to me.
Last night, I submit the second chapter for my story Jimmy Hook Turns Into... (I have changed the name, I'll tell you why). After telling JimmyHook19 to read it, he says the story has disappeared. Looking around the page, I see it's on the Unsubmitted list.
My first thought is that I could have pressed the Revoke Submission button. But, when I'm about to republish it, I receive a PM from Meeester telling that it has been revoked because it was a "meta story" and that, if I republish it without changing things, I'm risking the story being removed and my account receiving a ban.
After asking him how that works and what I can do for fixing it, he tells me that mentioning an user on my story (it was called JimmyHook19 Turns Into...) is not allowed, but changing the name can fix it.
Now, before you go crazy, let me explain: you can put an user's name on the description if what you're saying is that someone requested the story, but you can't put that username as a character on that story. At least, that's what I understood from Meeester.
Also, I'm not a rulebreaker, it's just that I didn't know about that. But, even if Meeester is a moderator and he has helped me to know what the problem was, why didn't he tell me BEFORE revoking my story? That seemed a bit unfair to me.
Normally, I dislike people who downvote stories for no reason (no idea why knighty added that option in the first place). The reason I dislike them is that, for me, FimFiction is not simply a place for writing and reading stories. For me, it's also a place where anyone can improve their skills as a writer. If someone downvotes it and goes away, the writer has no idea what the issue is.
I'll let you all know that I still have different stories to write, so don't worry about me. And I'll republish the mentioned stories once I change a few things.
I'm not against moderators or admins, I respect them. And of course, I'm not saying you should hate Meeester. He helped me and I really appreciate it. But I keep saying he could have told me before revoking the story.

They can use your OC if you allow them to do it, but they cannot use your username.

Well, you could use the "Self Insert" tag for that, but I don't think they would let you use your own name.

True. For An Apple a Day, I took one of my given names, then added a British place name to create Tom Haddington. For Jimmy, you could end up with something like James Paignton, or Thomas Ruddington.
