Bi-Monthly Update (December 2018-January 2019!)

Hiya Everypony! Battlerares here, with the last little update for the year.

Usually, these updates come out at the start of a month, but I saved this one for the end of the year, as a sendoff of 2018 and an introduction into 2019. I hope that 2018 has been a fantastic time for ya'll; it's been a life-changing year for me in many ways I didn't expect at all, and now I'm happier than I can ever remember being; one source of that happiness is that my enrollment in school full-time is over with.

My course-load this year was the heaviest one thus far, but I made it through to the end, even if it slowed down my writing drastically. I've picked back up after having a break for a week after finals (my finals where basically all giant essays), and have made steady progress on the drafts I put on hold back in October. This past year was the best for my writing thus far, even with university delaying things, and hopefully 2019 will surpass it! I'll have a lot more time to make that happen for now.

I'm also feeling out the possibility of writing up a commission or two; I've always been open to requests, but commissions were foreign territory to me. I figured I'd throw caution to the wind and give it a trial-run one with somepony who asked me for one recently, and if I end up liking it, I might do more in the future; after all, if my goal is to write professionally, why not do some more "fun" projects on the side? I think I'd only have one commission to work on at any time though, even if I decide to regularly take them, so I can give my own ideas the time they need to develop. I'll post any updates, rates, and other information on the prospect in a separate blog post, if that's the case.
