I might have commited a little FUBAR

So, a lot of my planning for the writing of this story comes from a custom map I'm working on, this is to give me a concrete idea of where countries are in relation to each other as well as the distances involved in travelling through them.

for the sake of making estimation of journey times easier, as well as to help lend a fantasy feel, I've got the unit of measurements set to Leagues, which is less a unit of distance as it is how far you can travel in an hour. (3.5 miles for arguments sake). this where we start to run into problems, because foolishly I didn't look at the total land area figure and compare it to that of earth's, I've been plodding along with it set to its default measurement.

so today I decided to compare the figures on a whim and found that the land area (that's excluding major bodies of water) of my map was some 230 million square leagues. for comparison Earth total surface area is only 91.8 million Lg2 , whilst its land area is a measly 26.7 million Lg2. Terra has 8.6 times the land area of earth

I've now fiddled about with the map and brought the land area figure down to 64.5 million square leagues (Making Terra 2-3 times bigger than earth), so please excuse me whilst I go back and revise and rewrite a few things in the past few chapters. I'll release a followup blog post when I've done breaking down the alterations I've made.

on the plus side this means it won't take nearly as long for the characters to get to places
