Goodness, it’s been almost two years since I last checked in on Trailblazer’s adventures. IDW putting out comics almost as quickly as I could review them will do that, especially given all of the G5 video media coming out concurrently.
I have an interesting dilemma with an upcoming story, and thus I turn to the Fimfic public (or that portion of it that sees these blogs) for its wisdom.
No, it’s not about a Jabberwock made of Legos. That would be a Hearthstone card blog. The first Tell Your Tale special is about the extreme lengths and depths Izzy will go to to overcome a creative block. Let’s take a look.
If ever there were a time to look at Kkat’s signature work, it would have been several weeks ago, when the Fallout decks came out, or possibly several years before that. Since this is the first hole in my schedule after those decks’ release, we’re looking at it now.

Well, Optimus Prime was a scholar before he was a prime, he has a ton of nerdy interests that Celestia would probably share.
Celestia has been the straight mare to an entire country for a thousand years, she'd appreciate having a chance to relax around someone.
Optimus has been stuffy and serious for a million-ish year, she'd help him lighten up.
Optimus would appreciate her more devilish sense of humor, but he won't turn it into a competition like, say, Discord would.
He'd love her for her loyalty.
She'd love him for his compassion.
I mean, I have no idea what the actual story would be like, but if they ever met they would get along really well.

Maybe just have it in the background of a different story? "The princess's special somepony Orion" is just there in the Canterlot gossip circuit, though nopony's quite sure what he looks like, and the story goes on elsewhere, and then when the focus shifts back to Canterlot there's a red-and-blue semi in the castle gardens and everypony is afraid to say anything because Celestia's happily perched atop it and talking to it. And it's talking back.

A story where Celestia going on a date with a Semi-Truck isn't a huge distraction is probably crack-ier than a straight up romance.
Though I could work with that— maybe a parody of the concept of a crossover, where Equestria is plagued by like a million of them at once? That'd be a big story, maybe they could have a whole subplot...
I could use Twilight!Rick even, and I've had a great moment for her in my head for ages.
Though that might be a bit dark. Deadpool's in a billion crossovers, and he's not as aggressively suicidal.
