    An Escalating Problem

    Things have gotten complicated now.

I was pulled into a meeting with HR at my work regarding what happened a week ago. In this meeting so many things were said and implied that I now have to deal with their bullshit.

Things that were said in that meeting.

    I Wa(o)nder

It's so hard to write when my time is eaten up by work; sometimes a little gets done, but far more often I am so bagged when I get home that even self care can feel like a chore. Service work is the worst, it is both physically taxing and emotional exhausting, it leaves one drained of inspiration.

    Self and Character Growth

A story requires more than simply stuff happening to a character, there needs to be growth. The hardest stories to write, are the one's in which a character's growth is not the result of outside events imposed upon them, rather their growth is internal, and the character must overcome their own self. Story idea

I had a new story idea. This idea revolves around and kind of mimics a book called Dhalgren by Samuel R. Delany. If you haven't read the book I would recommend it, but only if you are really into surreal science fiction type material. Here is the Wiki of the book.

Anyway the idea was to create a city in which humans and ponies are sealed off from the outside world. This would create a odd culture where both sides lift from each other. The protagonist would be a human who has been abused, neglected and eventually kicked out of his family's house. This character is eventually taken in by a herd of ponies who save him. Living with this heard he must relearn as their new "foal," over time he begins to live their culture while becoming isolated from his own. Just a random idea.
