My Computer Just Died · 12:52am Dec 10th, 2018
I kinda knew this was gonna happen, but I had been hoping it would wait until next month at the earliest...
So, as you can tell from the title of this post, my PC has gone and died. It shut off with no warning, no error messages, and no blue screen. Nothing. Just straight off. Following efforts to turn it back on have, one and all, failed. I'm hoping I can kick it back into gear before long, but I have very low expectations. The sucker has been going good and strong for years, a lot longer than I was frankly expecting it to. It served me well, but it is high time I retired it. The problem is that I don't have the spare money right now to afford the last part I need to assemble my new one...
Meh. I'll figure something out.
What this more or less means is that I am not in a good place to keep writing right now. For the foreseeable future, my ability to write is compromised. I am writing this blog post from my dad's PC and oh my god is it hurting my arms. Plus, the keyboard layout is weird as all hell, more or less meaning that I can't write effectively without spelling errors or typos showing up EVERYWHERE. Seriously, I've had to correct mistakes in this one blog post that number in the double digits.
Ugh...
Here's to hoping this sorts itself out soon...

It's an older alienware gaming laptop. And no, it won't even power up. By a stroke of luck, I managed to order the last part I need. I anticipate I'll be assembling it on the 14th.

Ah, could just be your adapter if you have a multi meter I would check it. I also would try to start it without the battery too. Worth a shot. I repair them daily and that is one of the most common issues unless it has major issues.
