One day ahead of schedule, I have managed to write over 50,000 words in the month of November.
It's a hell of an achievement, and congratulations to any other authors out there who pulled it off. I found it a lot easier to get through this year than I did last time.
More importantly than just sheer word count, however,
The first draft of Voyagers is finally complete
Clocking in at 115k words and 26 chapters, the story I started writing way back in January 2017 has finally reached its end. Mind you, large parts of it are probably going to need rewrites, and a ton of editing work, but the first part is done.
I'm hoping to publish it on fimfic sometime during Q1 2019, so stay tuned. It should be a lot of fun.
In other news, I was also struck with the bean-bug this NaNo, and decided to write out another fic for the Beanis Cinematic Universe.
20,000 Legumes Under The Sea
I'm sure most of you never asked for this, but I'm pretty happy with how this turned out. Clocking in at almost 14k, it will be the longest BCU fic to date, right after the story it's a direct sequel to, The Blood Dome, by R5h which is also currently unreleased. Both stories masterfully blend that trademark high octane sexual absurdism with meaningful storytelling alongside character drama and growth.
If the BCU isn't your thing, I can respect that, but if you've held off because you think it's all just some dumb joke, I implore you to maybe give it another shot. It is all a dumb joke, mind you, but it's also a collaborative universe with a strong sense of continuity and staffed by a large number of talented authors who know what they're doing. It takes that age old question posed by classic Sci-Fi, "What If?", appends it with something incredibly stupid, then just keeps going, exploring every possibility, and never forgetting to tell a good story along the way.
...
Dicks.
Oro you beautiful bastard.
Man, I wanted to do it, but with Ranger, Queen and Country and other unfinished stuff, I just couldn't bring myself to try and add more writing workload. I'm glad to see the steady stream of authors that made it tho! Congrats, and well done!
Congrats! Really looking forward to reading Voyager and Legumes (and all the other exciting BCU fics we have lined up -- Phase 3 is gonna be great).
I wasn't really interested first, but I've found most stories bearavle.
There is a strong sense of continuity for sure, but I was kinda lot about the "exact" order to read the stories at first.
That is, until one authors or two linked me the potential order for them, not just by release, but some stories could have been read before or adter some if I've wanted.
I don't remember if it was this list, nor if it's the most exhaustive/updated one :

I'm also wondering why Midnight Sparkle is here.
Even if Furryvert gave me some explanation.
I mean why by has she anything to do with Beanis, somekind of backstory about the creation, or just appeared and tagged along without any major event that might "affect" next stories?
Anyway, I'm glad that you've decided to add your story and fuel this Universe, which I'm hoping it won't die too soon.
booyah :D I wish I coulda done it
Ooooh. You cleared Voyagers first draft? Sexy-awesome.
Nice! Congrats. Congrats indeed.
