ya'll ever just have ideas churning in your head but you just cant use them because its just not time yet? god its so annoying. ive got ideas for my story "1000 Years", but i can't do anything with them. its just not time. how would you deal with these troubles?
also slight side note, i've already got the general idea laid out for the next chapter, but i just havent started it yet. will do that soon enough tho, so dont worry! hopefully next chapter will be out within a week? 2 weeks? hell if i know, im not gonna put myself on a time frame. last time i did that i failed miserably.

You could try to write the the part you want, then try working your way backward? Like, you write a scene where something interesting happens and maybe you throw a random thingamajig or plot point or odd bit of dialogue, and then you write a preceding chapter that would lead to that thingee or plot point being relevant. I've never tried it, but it sounds like it could work?

in theory it sounds like it could work. but i've toyed with that idea and it just doesnt seem to work in my head. i feel id end up wanting to keep going from where i was instead of work my way backwards. plus that creates a bunch of difficulty in terms of keeping continuity on track. just imo it doesnt work. im sure it works for some others, but not particularly me. thanks tho!
I usually just write down that future part of the story very roughly so you can change if if need be. Create a sort of skeleton chapter, if you will. Not all the dots have to connect, but you recognise what it is. You don't need to proof read it or anything, just get the main focus down. So basically what they guy below me said, just do it with much less detail. No need to describe things that haven't even appeared yet.

funnily enough, I actually don't proof my chapters or get them proofed by anyone. all the chapters you see are just written like that. perks of being a competent proof reader i guess lol. i just cant help but write in detail. thanks for the suggestion tho m8.
