Now you might be thinking, "what has Koren been doing?" in the event you're me. I have been doing a bunch of clean up lately. As it turns out, writing a 27000 word chapter (split in half) adds a whole bunch of shit that wasn't initially in the outline. As it turns out, writing a chapter sometimes ends up different than the outline. So, now the outline doesn't match and things need to be updated. You update the outline, get distracted and correct all the issues with a 10000 word chapter (not split) and then end up following an idea into writing the beginning of an outline for another story entirely. Then you go back to correcting the outline to realize that you don;t have a character sheet. You realize, oh shit, I don't know how old some of my characters are, and their birthdates aren't specified enough in the outline either. Then you end up here, writing a blog about all these things since your first day at your new job was spent mostly working on your outline and your character sheet since some people didn't do their jobs and you can't really start work yet.
Funfact: In Super, Celestia is 2096 years old. Interesting how that happens, eh?
So yeah, today and for most of last week, I've been doing clean up stuff on the outline and a few select chapters (meaning one). I've started my new job, and since today was more or less a blow off day because shit wasn't ready to go, so I worked on a Character sheet after I realized I didn't have one while I failed to start working on Kaiju 4. It feels like I'm having that problem where I struggle to advance the story beyond a major milestone because it brings me that much closer to... a thing that I've been dreading for almost two years now.
And to follow a red herring, I got Let's Go Eevee over the weekend, and by god am I having a good time. this game is fun. This game is a ton of fun. Do you know why the Let's go Games are the best thing ever? because I get to RIDE A FUCKING RAPIDASH AROUND!! I never imagined when I was so much younger that I would get to ride my favorite pokemon around in game. And not only that, this game made me actually enjoy catching pokemon. not only that, but I don't even mind like, searching for pokemon because I can just cherry pick what I want. It's not a huge pain in the ass anymore. Eevee is also fuckin' adorable, and the sheer fashion souls available is just the best. Your other pokemon trainers just wish they could look as good as the Let's Go trainers. Go buy LGP/E. It's a fun game. F U N
Anyways, that's all from me. I will force myself to sit down and work on Kaiju 4 on Thursday while I'm busy ignoring my family. If I get a moment at work, I'm gonna try and get to work on it there too. It's coming, I promise. Two weeks tops. I'm calling it now, there will at least be a part of Kaiju 4 before Dec 3rd. Mark your calendars, this one's bloody.
