Well, this was better than I was expecting.
This gets deeper into Tempest's thought process than I expected. Her resentment and pure anger over Glitter Drops saving her, immediately followed by the shocking revelation that she never blamed her friends for her disfigurement, despite the obvious way she could blame her friends. That really helps sympathize Tempest, showing that as much as she was twisted, there always was some good in there.
Also, I guess Glitter Drop's explanation on why her and Spring Rain never wrote back to Tempest could apply to Sunburst and Starlight? It's the closest thing I could fine.
Liked the Sunset cameo.
Well, pretty good arc of the comics. Let's hope they can keep it up.
But she never apologizes is the problem. It's nice that she stopped short of wishing her friend had been crippled in her place, but she still never apologizes for her bad behavior or the fact that she was the one who chose to ran away instead of making any attempt to stay in contact.

Except we are told why
FizzyTempest didn't try to stay in contact, a misconception on both sided, which they do apologize for.I assume we're supposed to assume Sunburst was deliberately avoiding Starlight Glimmer. But why doesn't he up and say it? It would have given Starlight a reason she fell as far as she did and upgrade her backstory to at least "adequate for the purpose of the narrative"...
I just realized why, it would have undercut the moral of "The Cutie Re-Mark" about working to maintain your friendships if Starlight's efforts failed for reasons out of her control.
This was a great way to close the story. We got a lot of emotional depth from both Tempest and Glitter Drops, allowing them to see both sides of the situation and fully reconcile. And it was interesting how Cadance seemingly planned the whole thing. She's more clever than Tempest thought she was.
