IN WHICH I ACCOMPLISHED STUFF

So on Friday morning at 10am, tickets went on sale for Weird Al's "Strings Attached" Tour. As luck would have it, one of his stops is less than three hours from me and within a fortnight of my birthday. Well, that was too much of a serendipity to pass up. I sprang for a VIP ticket, which comes with, among other things, a seat in the first few rows and a meet-&-greet after the show. My parents agree it's a damn good birthday present and agreed to pay me back for the ticket (it was logistically easier to use my own card).

Fortunately, I have friends in the area, so I may be able to crash somewhere for free if I ask nicely. This is in stark contrast to the Perfume concert in Dallas I'm going to in April, where I will have to get a hotel room. Fortunately I still have plenty of time to figure those logistics out. And maybe try and convince some friends or acquaintances to join me.

This is about as close as I get to being excited.

Oh. Good news on the story front. I finally finished the second draft of Her Shimmering Sunset, the finale of the SRA+Shipping timeline. I actually wrote the final chapter over two nights. It just took a legal drug cocktail and a little willpower. Going back on my medication probably helped too. This is the opposite of what I expected.

Y'know they say creatives are more creative when not on mental drugs. In my case, going off pillz just made me manic and feel like shit.

Anyway, now all I need is a good piece of Sunsarity art that I can use for cover art when I make final tweaks to the story.

This leaves me with three completed unpublished stories in my queue in need of final tweaks before they're ready to go.

Of course, with my luck, all these stories a put actual effort into will get, like, no readers, while the next story I fart out in 120min or less will get attention. Isn't that usually how it goes?

I got supper at the burrito place -- a quesadilla -- and then promptly passed out from the Itis. When my brain hasn't been trying to figure out these Sunset stories, it's been sussing out how I can FINALLY write Octavia's Burritoverse story.

How long has it been since I wrote a Burritoverse story? Serious question; I forget.

Anyway, I hope y'all enjoy what stories I have coming up. I want to say I've worked hard, but perception of effort is in the eye of the beholder.

The fancy doughnut shop south of the University has cookie dough doughnuts today, so I'm gonna get a box. Then probably eat one and pass out again. Goals.
