The story behind my name part 1 · 3:07am Nov 14th, 2018
Ok, so I think it's about time I went into detail where my name comes from. I really wanted to go into it, but felt posting it as an actual story would be a bit much, so I'll be putting it in my blogs. It IS a bit of a long story, so I'll have to break it up into parts. So here's part 1.
July 12, 1998;
My family and i had gone to Sea world for the day. We hadn't been in a few years, so we were basicly seeing what was new. I went off on my own to explore. I eventually came to an area called the rocky point preserve. They have an area where you can try to touch a few dolphins. I ended up giving it a try. They give you 2 choices there: entice them over with fish they sell at certain times, or try the old fashioned way. Call me crazy, but I tried it the hard way.
For the next 6 hours, they avoided me. But thats not all. They kept their distance, snapped at me, or drenched me. What can i say? I'm stubborn. I remember 1 time, I was reaching for 1 when another sped by, absolutely soaking me. Let's just say everyone in the area had a good laugh at me.
It was starting to get dark, and tombe frank, I was about ready to cry. I may try to act tough, but I'm really quite sensitive. That's when it happened, one of them just swam right up to me like it was the most natural thing in the world. After that, we really hit it off. It seemed to come to me like every few minutes. I just wish I could've spent more time with it.
It was getting really late, and i had to meet up with the others to head home. As i was leaving the area, I heard the saddest, most heartbreaking sound I've ever heard. The dolphin was crying, it didn't want me to leave. That's when i made a promise. I promised i would return, and we would meet again. The sounds it made still haunt me to this day.
I have no proof that any of this happened, other than my own memory. I will never forget that night. I did return, but that is gonna have to wait for part 2.
I'll basicly be posting a part each month so I won't be spamming. Look forward to the next part in december.
