Top Thirty Two Songs of MLP FiM

"The Best Gift Ever" brought in either two or three new songs depending on what you wanna count, and ultimately at least one of them was good enough to warrant being added to the list. I did consider a top Thirty Five, but I can't think of many other songs I haven't already included, so I just decided to go with Top Thirty Two (maybe there'll be a top Thirty Five or Top Forty even after Season 9). Just ask if you're curious as to why a certain song ends up where it does and as always this list is purely the result of my personal opinion so please respect it. Here's the top thirty version, from just after the end of Season 8. Let's see what changed.

But the Evil Cadance vocals are so intense and powerful, and it contrasts so perfectly with the elegant and soft voice of Cadance. Her voice in her first segment is sung so well; you can just feel the raw emotions oozing out of her, and the part at the mine cart scene, if a bit more artificial, was also sung spectacularly. The tension also builds gradually and constantly throughout the song, until the end and whenever I listen to the song, it just has me excited. And in terms of how it fit with the episode, it acted as a more entertaining version of a montage, and also built up suspense incredibly for the clash of the two Cadance's (especially at the end), makes you wonder what the story is behind all this, and it leads up really well to the eventual reveal of the Changeling Queen, Chrysalis. Seriously. Not being number 1, I can understand, but not even being in the top 20?!

Smile IS my pick for best song of season 2, with Perfect Stallion in second.

As for Find a Pet, that's in sixth for me for season 2.
