So there's this person on the site who seems to follow me around, and hides behind the downvote system to downvote anything I post. It may just be that they are reading the same story I'm reading at the time, or shortly after I do. But it's getting to the point that it's feeling harrassy, and really starting to urk me.
I mean whomever it is, doesn't even have the decency to be an adult and leave a comment. It's just a cowardly, passive aggressive harrassment. Does this happen to anyone else here? And if so how do you deal with it?

It could happen to anyone and all i can say is i like your stories they make me happy and if you like your stories then taht person is just jealous he cant write like you in ancient myths trolls lose power when ignored

It's less my stories, and the stories of others that I comment on. I'll be reading a fic, and leave a comment. When I go to leave I see that most if not all of the comments that I posted have downvotes. And other stories that I read and comment on, get downvotes.
And it's really getting to petty territories , but I can say things "I like this chapters", or "[quote passage] this is one of my favorite lines ever." and it gets a down vote (actually do get that). Or I'll be rereading something, and going to make a comment and notice that all of my old comments have the same ammount of downvotes. And my new comments get downvoted as well.
It's stalkery.

Stay strong bo (im sorry im southern and thats how i call someone a good/close friend or show support) but just keep im mind they're your opinions and theyre never truly right or wrong and even if this will only put a slight smile on your face or provide a chuckle ill go up vote em all no one should be put down because of what they think

. And honestly I wouldn't have a problem if they left an opinion, or would comment. Or it wasn't so obvious that they are doing it just because it's me posting, and so often.

It's one of the most pathetic and petty things people can do on the web, but it does happen. I've got a couple of turds trailing after me doing that from time to time too.

It is, but that's kinda dumb. You are made out of pure win, I mean I can see that I can be overly opinionated on a very narrow grouping of subjects (and that can rub some people wrong). But you're awesome, and one of the coolest people I know.

Thanks. Some people don't see it that way and unfortunately I've given them cause, even if some do tend to blow it out of proportion.
Petty, small, irritating, and persistent: that describes the person doing this.
That also describes numerous types of biting insects.
As much as I hate to say it, because it is hard to swallow, the solution to both is the same; you need to grow a thicker skin.

It happens to me because some people can't handle the fact I write self-insert stuff. I will always get someone downvoting my work simply because it has my name on it.
I just ignore it, because I don't care about upvotes or downvotes; I care about writing stories that people will enjoy. And the majority of them do; it's just a small selection of numpties who don't. Very rarely will I get a comment along with the downvote, but that's just part of the Fimfic life.
Just continue doing what you do, and pay no heed to these petty-minded individuals.
