Did you ever have a dream that was so intense that you thought it was real and everything you saw actually happened?

I just don't understand some people.....

I was only out to buy some simple things today. I had some change left and I went to a nearby park to give it to a homeless person. I couldn't find one and went back to the train station and mall where I started. A man was standing there in front of the entrance, with heavy luggage, a huge backpack and a big suitcase. He asked me for change and said he has no place to sleep. I was unsure about

    I miss these glorious Saturdays.....

I have seen this thread in the Crossover group about saturday morning cartoon openings (that's now deleted) in my feed and it triggered it..... The memory of the Saturdays when a new episode of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic aired. I miss these Saturdays..... Watching a new episode, waiting for an upload, downloading it, rewatching it 3 - 5 times, writing an analytical review of the episode

Selfishness has been my wrong motivator for the longest time..... and people don't see who I really am because of that.

A lot of people in the fandom don't understand who I am and think of me as a bad person. My friend sometimes does, too, and doesn't trust me anymore because of that. There have been moments when she literally asked me "Who are you?". I was always thinking this was stemming from trust issues that she developed because of events in her past and I was only marginally attributing the cause for this

Update about my Silverstream and Tempest Shadow stories + Thoughts about Tempest Shadow's recent comic arc · 12:51am Nov 3rd, 2018

Here is a little update for all of you who wait for my stories about Silverstream and/or updates of my long story for Tempest Shadow, "A Storm on the Horizon of the Arcane World".

As you noticed, I did not meet my plans of having the first chapter for Tempest Shadow's story out in October and of writing my first Silverstream story and of starting my multi-chapter story for Silverstream in October, as well.
This is unfortunate and I'm sorry for everyone who waits for these stories and chapters. But this time, I have a good reason for that, at least, not depressions or lack of time management skills:

As you hopefully noticed probably didn't notice, I am finally writing a story for Nightmare Night again this year, "Aegis", my first, grimdark horror story and first mature story.
What began with the expectation that the workload with this story would be just like what I'm used to (minus writing in a slightly new genre for me, but I can accustom to that easily) soon turned out as a lot more work than I ever thought this story would bring with it, when I realized that the foals starring in it, especially Babs and Curtain Call, should really speak with proper Manehattan accent.
So I went and googled that, right when I had the first chapter finished. And from there on, an odyssey of no less than two weeks took place, as this was how long it took me to learn all the important aspects of this accent, as well as to analyze Babs' accent by checking "One Bad Apple" and "Apple Family Reunion" over and over again, to see how pronounced her accent is. I started writing the first chapter of "Aegis" on September 25nd, with a planned release date on October 1st, and was only able to release the chapter on October 9th.
During this time, I did nothing else but studying this accent, studying the episodes with Babs and applying the accent to all the dialogues in the chapter.
It was a cool experience to learn so much about Babs in the process and about how she speaks and it made me love the Manehattan accent, but also very taxing and it led to it that the first chapter of "Aegis" was published nine days later than I wanted, as well as to a lot of mental exhaustion.
After I had learned everything about the accent, writing the chapters got easier, but applying the accent to the dialogues, as well as writing the respective accent-reduced versions still took a lot more time than writing a new fic chapter usually does.
On top of this, I was attempting baking for the 3rd Cutie Mark Anniversary of Applebloom, Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle by making "Scootaloo's SUPER-Difficult Stunt" special cupcakes we saw in "The Washouts", was sick for two days (which delayed my intended release of Chapter 2 of "Aegis", as well), worked on preparing several events in "Legends of Equestria" and carved a pony pumpkin like I do every year for Nightmare Night.
Overall, I put a lot of creative work on my shoulders this month and all these things combined led to it that I could not deliver Silverstream's fics and the first chapter for Tempest Shadow's story in October as I announced. Sucks a bit, as I really thought I wouldn't give another broken promise after the last months were full of those, but getting "Aegis" right is very important to me. Sometimes, plans change when creative works take more time than expected, I hope you will understand.
The stories and chapters are being worked on, however. In the worst case, "Aegis" has to stay priority until it's finished, which will be after another four or five chapters, but I do my best to avoid that and to work on the other stories simultaneously.

In other news, I also spent some time catching up on the official comics of the last months and could finally read Tempest Shadow's arc. And, wow, Glitter Drops is a massive jerk!
After all the heartache and pain she and Spring Rain caused Tempest Shadow by abandoning her, she was completely oblivious about all that when she and Tempest Shadow met again. Worse than that, she even constantly brought up excuses for everything:

Abandoning your friend who just lost her magical abilities when a gigantic monster bear broke off her horn and excluding her from your games in order to not make her sad, Glitter Drops? Really?! That is a very poor excuse for it that you and Spring Rain never thought about being there for your friend and about supporting her during that trying time.
I already did not like Glitter Drops and Spring Rain before reading this arc, especially because I had a very similar experience like Tempest as a foal, but this arc made me completely hate Glitter Drops. At first she did not even acknowledge that she did anything wrong to Tempest Shadow all these years back and acted like she doesn't remember anything, even expressed surprise over it that Tempest Shadow wasn't happy to see her.
And after Tempest Shadow finally lost her composure and literally screamed all her anger at Glitter Drops, causing Glitter Drops to have a complete breakdown, she pulled excuse after excuse for why she and Spring Rain abandoned Tempest. First she said that they only left her out to "not make her sad" and then she named learning at Celestia's School as the reason for why they didn't even write her a letter here and there!
Their magical studies were more important to them than their friend, which shows the most how horrible they are.....
Glitter Drops very obviously only tried to keep face in front of Tempest Shadow, because she was scared of her and wanted to try and prevent her from attacking her like this again because of that, which is really sad.
Tempest Shadow sadly bought it and forgave Glitter Drops and I hate to think of it how that decision will surely come back to haunt her in the future, because Glitter Drops has clearly learned nothing from the mistake she and Spring Rain made. Worse than that, she is not even conscious about what they did to Tempest Shadow with their abandonment and how much it hurt her.

I liked the moment when Tempest Shadow lost it and intimidated Glitter Drops after she fended off the Ursa Minor. It was a backlash Glitter Drops deserved for what she did and for pretending that nothing happened and it was a similar situation like the one that I described in "Now..... we settle the score".
For "A Storm on the Horizon of the Arcane World", however, there are unfortunately a few contradictions now..... The most impacting one is how the arc revealed that Tempest Shadow was not leaving her village immediately after she had been nursed back to health, but stayed there for at least a few weeks longer (but probably more like a few months) during which she tried to reconnect with Glitter Drops and Spring Rain and that she only left the village after them, when they were already at Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns.
While in my story, she leaves the village while they are still there and right on the first day she was allowed to leave the bed. It's how it looked in the movie, but I'm also not surprised that how it actually happened is a little different, as the short sequence in the movie were Tempest's memories and therefore, portrayed the events in a more symbolic and shortened way as she quickly told Twilight what happened to her.
I could go back and change the prologue to make it more accurate, but I won't. This fic was supposed to get started a lot earlier, in November of last year, a long time before this arc got released. But drama and personal life crisis hit in 2017, which impaired my writing and messed with my schedules, which is why I can write this story only now. And I do not want to let this crisis dictate my ideas for the story, so I will just leave the prologue like this, in the same way as I would have written it in November 2017.

And that's all for today. Right now, I'm winding down from the busy month that lies behind me, so I won't be writing again before Monday. But I will do my best to work on new chapters of "Aegis" faster, so that my other planned stories can finally happen, too. I also have a fic idea for Cozy Glow, which I'm very eager to write.
Stay tuned and see you soon!
