Obligatory 1K Views Blogpost Update! · 7:21pm Nov 2nd, 2018
I got 1K views on fimfic! That sure feels like an accomplishment! Thank you to everyone who took the time to check my page, even if you didn't read it or didn't really like what was there. I appreciate you all helping me get to this milestone. This is probably the first time I've felt so satisfied in something I've worked hard on hitting the 1000 mark, but now I see what all the fuss is about!
So we just released "Ch. 5 - Who'll Stop the Rain?", and I'm getting to work on the next chapter. It looks like my prediction of having 6 done this year was about on point. I'll try for 8-10 chapters next year depending on how fast I get. I've already run the calculations that I'm aiming for it to be just under 30 chapters, so we aren't here forever. I definitely feel myself improving, and I'm getting more confident in my writing.
But if you ever interested in helping out with pre-reading or editing, shoot me a message! Maybe we can get it done faster than that!
I also don't think I made an official update on fimfic about this, so Relentless who works on Fallout Equestria: Frozen Skies (Which you should check out) joined the Red 36 editing team! So a big warm welcome to him! Frozen could definitely use it!
Also a minor worth mentioning: If you see the word count jumping around, don't worry about that. I'm not making any overall changes to the story or anything. My buddy NyxOs who works on his own Fallout Equestria fic: Of Shadows (which you should also check out) is helping me out by making some quality of reading suggestions on the early chapters, so that way it doesn't cut into any of my time working on the current ones. Nothing major. Luckily, I don't think any of the chapters really need any major overhauls aside from just varying up word choice and cleaning grammar, wordflow etc. a little more.
As I've moved along, I've definitely found as I've moved along that I don't really need to make changes like I did around the extremely rocky release of the first couple chapters (where I really had very little idea what I was doing). It's a nice feeling, being more confident in your work. Once again, I'd like to thank everyone for sticking with me up to now! You guys rock! There'll be more to come in the future!
