Where are you getting the inspiration for the Blood Magic? I've noticed some similarities to both Shadowrun and Vampire the Masquerade so far.

I love this story, and I think a part of me loves it because I don't know XCom. Having Sunset, best girl, as lead makes me love it all the more.
So, I gotta ask, how, and why (for when), do you decide when to write/release a chapter in a different perspective? For instance, why did you decide to go back-and-forth between Menace, Dragon, and Scoots/Applebloom in that portion of the story, or why are you choosing to rotate between Laetitia/Luna and Sunset (and how are you selecting when to chose which perspective to write/release it) vs telling it straight from just Sunset's perspective.
I hope that made sense. I've been getting really curious about it lately.
Also, I love Bloody Sunset, hope she gets a happy ending while keeping her gem!

Something I can ask, however, is where did the idea for this story come from? I feel like I've read something very similar to this before...
What is the in universe basis for blood having magical power in the story?
Magic is all over in Equestria, but earth has almost none, yet Sunset has gotten boosts from blood, so I'm wondering if the blood is inherently magical, or is part of the dark magic process converting blood to magic? If so, is it the physical medium that's converted (it does seem to disappear), some energy connected to blood (like the victim's soul), or are both consumed in some way?
If it's converting the something to magical energy, that would be an interesting subject for Twilight to study, as it could lead to all kinds of tech. Actually, how does teleporting work here?

What's the deal with Canterlot? I mean, did the mirror influence everyone in a certain proximity to have the same name as their counterpart?
On that note, concerning Galahad. At first, I thought it was just a nickname Sunset gave him. It was only later that we found out that it was his actual codename, even before Sunset arrived at the Avenger.
Why does Aria have blue skin in Ranger, when she had purple skin in Rainbow Rocks?
Now that the tactical legacy pack is out, do you intent to incorporate certain elements of it in to the story? Like XCOM maybe finding some of old XCOM's plasma/laser prototypes? Maybe even a downed firestorm?
Also what is the general timeline? How long did the first war last and what kind of technologies did XCOM manage to recreate?
I imagine not, but will we find out anything more about the closer-to-EqG universe (but that still had XCOM) from the FMP arc?
I think you've made it very clear that the Ranger universe Applejack is definitely dead. In the comments people keep speculating that Pinkie might not be. Do you want to take this opportunity to definitively state whether she is or not?
Lots more I want to know that would be spoily, but this isn't really: how many more chapters before we see Twilight and her squad again?
