Japanese Help Please! · 2:19am Oct 23rd, 2018

I'm learning Japanese, and I've got some questions.

At one point in my story a character counts to ten in Japanese. Which readings are preferred? Shi/yon. Shichi/nana. Ku/kyu.

I use italics for thoughts, and normal text for almost everything else. At some point in my characters will speak in Japanese, but I'm going to write it in English so the readers can understand what they're saying. How do I make it clear that they're speaking Japanese?

There's this one song I really like, and I like the Japanese translation even more. But I don't remember the English. Does anyone know what this line means? Mada watashi wa utau daro. I don't know if it's a complete sentence or not.
