NaNoWriMo + Other stuff + Disneyland · 8:37pm Oct 17th, 2018
Have a few small updates just for the sake of keeping y'all updated on life and stuff and life and also I'm bored at work
Let's do this bullet-point style.
SO NANOWRIMO is next month, which is why I'm allowing myself a nice comfy break during October SO I CAN CRUNCH TEK DURING NANO. I WILL FINISH THE LUNA ARC EVEN IF IT KILLS ME. I SWEAR TO GOD. My current goal for nano is 35k which is manageable, I think.
This does mean that my content will be MORE LIMITED THAN USUAL, except for maybe a Crimson update here and there in the future. I'm still working on the bodyguard!verse story too, but that won't be posted until it's done and done. I'm also toying with a RariDash EQG/Human fic centered on LDR's but that's a big maybe for now.
Additionally, I DID end up going to Disneyland with my two good friends like I said I would, and it was a great weekend for my heart but a disastrous one for my wallet.
As some of you may know, I am what could be considered a Donald Duck merch hoarder, which is a very affordable hobby considering there is no friggin' Donald merch anywhere god damn it why can I have variety disney stop selling the same plush for four years in a row. Anyway, as it turns out, my pleas were heard and there was a decent amount of new Donald merch, including but not limited to the below shirt.

Also, they redecorate Disney for Halloween which was really cool.
Anyway, Disney was fun.
- Health-wise I'm doing ok. Kidney stones have not been an issue, and I'm still going to therapy and trying my best every day.
- Work is BEING STRESSING AF but that's routine here, I think. I was assigned to two new TV shows this month with really great writing, so on the flipside at least I've been getting to read cool scripts.
- And I think that's it?
So yeah that is it. ANYWAY I LOVE YOU ALL, BE GOOD, AND CONTINUE TO TRY YOUR BEST EVERY DAY AND STUFF and i hope your week has been good so far

I stopped worrying about NaNoWriMo a while ago, but I won’t tell anyone not to use it as motivation to produce lots and lots of that sweet nectar known as shipping. Have fun!

I didn’t know you were a big Donald Duck fan... he’s the best of the Disney characters. I’ve been digging the new Ducktales and the Legend of the Three Cabellaros show, and got some nice figures in the Ducktales style.

ANYWAY YES, I LOVE The Three Cabs show too! I can only hope they release it in the States soon. It's a shame that they've basically given it zero promo
As for Ducktales '17, I... have... conflicts with it, because some aspects I really like, but others I have CONTROVERSIAL THOUGHTS on it (specifically Donald's characterization and his relationship with the triplets), though I can recognize it's mostly because I grew up on the comics and "old Disney" so I'm basically the old person yelling at the kids to get off my proverbial headcanon lawn

I would be happy to hear your
diatribemanifestothoughts on what the Ducktales reboot is getting wrong. I quite like the show in general, but there are parts that work so much better for me than others. I think that my least favorite part of the show may be the nephews, which I admit is problematic for a property like “Ducktales”. I really did enjoy the Magica de Spell storyline though, and I could listen to David Tenant read the phone book as Scrooge.As for the Legend of the Three Cabellaros, I enjoyed it way more than I expected to... I heard whispers of an odd, rare Duck show and I scrounged up the first so-many episodes to watch while I worked on an art assignment, and then I got hooked and had to wait as the rest of the episodes were gradually uploaded over a week. I do hope that it gets an official US release... I wonder if it might be something that Disney is saving for that Netflix-style streaming service they’re going to be launching soon. (And as it turns out with this show, I was a fan of Daisy’s nieces, even though May was the only one who stood out. Maybe I’m sexist when it comes to duck triplets.)
