...I'm not dead.
Shocking, yes, I know. I haven't done much of anything on this site for two months now, haven't I?
Sadly, that's not going to change anytime soon, but that does not mean I haven't been sitting on my ass doing nothing. On the contrary, I've been quite busy behind the scenes. I've been putting a lot of effort into the sequel for Two Thousand Miles and it's getting closer and closer to its completion... of the first draft. But once I get that first draft done, it won't take much time at all to get it whipped into shape and ready for posting. I'm committed to posting it before the end of the year, and I'm well on track to do so. I'm in the middle of writing Chapter 34 of what I've calculated to be a 37 chapter story, barring any sudden shifts in the fic's climax. Once that's done, I can go back and adjust some things in the beginning of the fic, and get it ready for posting. So look forward to that in December, because that's probably when I'll finally get everything together and ready for publishing.
As for other projects? Well, there are a few odd fics I'm working on here and there, but trying to get TTM's sequel up and running has been my priority. I should hopefully have another shorter project finished and out soon in November, but between TTM and grad school, I haven't had a lot of time to spread around between fics. I'm hoping 2019 will be very productive, though. These two months of not publishing anything have made me actually miss the hectic days of writing a daily fic.
But I can at least offer you one last thing before I go: in case you haven't noticed, or maybe just forgot, I have a discord server that I'm fairly active on. It has channels for discussing my most popular fics, and it's a very easy way to interact with me and see what I'm up to that's way more convenient than waiting on the odd blog post like this one. I also tend to post snippets of fics I'm working on in the channels there, so if you want to get a sneak peek on the things I'm writing, that's the best place to do it. And if you want other announcements straight from the Egyptian horse's mouth so to speak, that's the place to go.
Now it's back to the silent grind of writing fics behind the scenes!
