Can I keep this up? · 5:29pm Oct 14th, 2018
As much as I want to work on my second chapter, I'm finding it difficult. I know all the plot points that need to be covered next chapter, but actually writing it is proving difficult. I'm just getting stressed and confused with how I should handle it. I know I shouldn't be upset over not getting any likes on my story, and just a mere 2 dislikes, especially when I've gotten unanimous support for this fic on Equestria Amino, but the problem is I still haven't gotten much input on why people there enjoyed it, while the one person that said why they didn't like it was just being rude and not constructive at all. I'd be able to get past the rudeness if the criticisms given were at least helpful, but they weren't.
Look, I'm really sorry if my fanfic is just so bad that it upsets you, but this is my first. Please don't try to crush my spirit and resolve to improve. Believbe it or not, I'm not a terrible person that somehow deserves it. I'd be just as happy to see constructive criticism as I would be to see likes and positive comments.
Now, I want to go over a few things for when you decide to offer me some criticism.
1- Although Fusion Light is my avatar and part of my namesake, he is not a self insert. I honestly wouldn't want to be him.
2- If you want to say a character is overpowered, context is everything. He's clearly not able to overcome any challenge just by being powerful or, "believing hard enough", and it's not like he's going to be constantly pulling new abilities out of nowhere to make him "cooler", like Superman or Goku do.
3- Check vocabulary before you try to call me out for a typo or grammar error. I was called out for an "error" that was on purpose. "Sole" is a word apart from "Soul" and has its own meanings.
4- A simple faceplam, "this is sh*t", or "go f**k yourself" won't tell me anything. I want the truth, not riddles
Honestly, if it's too early for me to be wondering about these things, it's too early to be getting hate. I hope we all can get along, be friends, and help each other out.
