Does anyone know if the Storm King and his minions have a particular species name? Or at least a fanon one?

Nah, a yeti has appeared in the show already, in the episode that introduced the yaks and Pinkie traveling all the way to Yakyakistan and then tripping just as she gets there and sliding all the way back to Ponyville
